Yeah, not even captain hindsight here but his reels never really excited me.

The guy needs to go for ours and his sake really. He has been terrible over the piece, any decent shot or header on target it’s a goal. He’s not particularly good with the ball at his feet either.

Given where we are overall I would genuinely take Marshall for now, I doubt Derby would demand a fee as they weren’t playing him at the end of last season and are under a transfer embargo where they want to sign free agents but can only register a certain number of senior players.

If we were to take over the final year of his deal, I doubt they would be looking for a fee or just a modest one. Not suggesting he should be number one all season but he would be a reliable keeper that would allow us the rest of the window to find a No.1 (even if it’s a loan, I normally hate them but it’s desperate times) and then Marshall would provide proper backup.

Demote Bain to 3rd choice, punt Barkas on loan probably and loan out Hazard and Doohan for experience of a full season of first team football.

I'd really wanted to give the guy the benefit of the doubt and hoped he'd prove himself this season, but Saturday was a watershed moment. To make a fundamental error like that twice in the same game. Can't defend it anymore.

Agreed. He just shouldn't be playing for us again.

I'd bring in the 'best of the rest' SPFL keeper in the extreme short term (would've done it weeks ago) and aim to get a 1st choice keeper in within the next week or so.

Everything is far too slow and ponderous at this club. I know people want to defend the club by saying everything takes time, but at this moment we should be lean and agile.

We've got capital from season tickets, allegedly cash in the bank, assets being sold and there will be plenty of players that put off moves last season looking to move now. Worst of all we've known what we needed for 6 months to a year in most cases.

There's simply no way we're sitting without goalkeeping targets already identified. We just lack the competence or capacity to move on them, which is criminal.

We are now trying him out and it’s not looking good, that second goal against WHU tells a lot, so now we are seeing that he is not a proper keeper. THis should have been done on Kennedy’s watch, for those 10 games, now we are back to square 1

Just watched the highlights. You seemed to forget about the couple of quality saves he made as well!!!!

Itll take many superb performances for people to change there mind tbh. We are burnt and only in time it'll heal. I still remember forrest used to get abused for years about being * even when pulling good performances. Takes time for opinions to be changed. Now he's the golden boy even when he's not performed against sevco in many moons.

However I don't think he is good enough to change any opinions.

Watched some of the Hearts v ICT game yesterday.

I'd rather have Ridgers over Barkas. Not a world beater by any stretch of the imagination, but a proper goalkeeper.

The GK situation is priority # 1, even more important than RB. Will it be sorted? I'm not so sure.

First save was good, the second I'd expect him to make.

The fact fans are clutching at anything and celebrating him making a save or catching a cross tells its own story.

    This is the celtic no1.

    The guy is * brutal.

Funny, I was watching the highlights of the ICT Hearts game and Hearts peppered his goal with shots from all angles, he did very well actually but I was thinking when watching some oferte more routine ones where he narrowed the angle, “Barky might struggle with that one”. Like someone else has said already, this is an international goalkeeper (who I have backed to the hilt) who cost in the region of €5 million. The fact we are almost celebrating his making a save is quite telling….

If we are looking at anyone domestically I think Siegrist at Dundee Utd is the one we should be after. Posted some stats about him a wee while back but as a shot stopper he was the far and away best in the league last season. Started this with a few cleansheets as well.
