Looking forward to it. Really liked the first two films.

    That Cineworld thing sounds good.

Battle Royale is fooking tremendous. Never bothered with the American rip off. Same with Old Bhoy. Not after their Infernal Affairs rip off The Departed. * director didn't even mention Infernal Affairs when picking up his award.

Dc/Warner announced the cast for the Suicide Squad last night. Margin Robbie as Harley Quinn and Jared Leto as the Joker are incredible casting I think.

Looking forward to this more than Batman v Superman now I think :smiley-laughing002:.

Was thinking of opening a thread about that.

Really happy with that casting of Jared Leto as the Joker, he's a fantastic actor. Margot Robbie will be a great Harley Quinn as well. And of course, delighted that Tom Hardy will be in it.

Will Smith as Deadshot came out of nowhere. Not sure what to make of that.

A just canny take to Will Smith at all and avoid films with him in them. Saying that he'll have signed on for multiple films and be a big part of the DC universe so I'll actually hate the villain.

I wouldn't be surprised if Leto does the best version of the Joker yet. Ledger's was good as a dark one, can see Leto going all out pyscho with this. Him and Margot Robbie will be brilliant as an unstable couple.

So I just watched a trailer for an upcoming movie called The Witch that was really well done. It apparently got a really good reception at the Sundance Film Festival earlier in the year, and based on the trailer I can see why.

American rip off of Battle Royale? I'm guessing you mean The Hunger Games (which is *) but it's not a straight rip/remake like Oldboy.

    * director of The Departed - Martin Scorsese? One of the best directors of all time who was looked over for an Oscar time and again before he got it for The Departed. He's mentioned Infernal Affairs in plenty of interviews so it's not like he's kidding anyone on.

At the very minimum you're talking three Oscars he should have had for Taxi Driver, Raging Bull and Goodfellas. How he didn't win those three (ahead of Rocky, Ordinary People and Dances With Wolves respectively) is an absolute joke.

I doubt there's anyone alive who has done more for cinema than Martin Scorsese. He's always talking up restoring old films, obscure films, all the while still making great ones himself into his 70s.

A second trailer for The Witch was released earlier in the week. I didn't find it as creepy as the first one, but it's still looking good. I'm not usually a fan of horror movies, but I definitely want to see this.

Cloverfield is apparently getting a sequel as well, and it's due to release in March (it's a regular movie this time rather than found footage/shaky cam).
