No. Just means that they are 1st ranked team in play offs if they dont directly qualify through Euro 2020 qualifiers.
For winning they have just earned €8 million in prize money

There is far too much football being dictated by sky and the like .
Look at some of the Celtic players they will be lucky to get a fortnight off this summer before they are back in training for the CL qualifying. Is it any wonder they get so many injuries as the guys should get at least 6 weeks off away from football during the summer to let their bodies heal

    The Polish penalty against Israel..

I'm done. Seriously it's all over..

Ball get's crossed and the Israeli defender goes to ground to block the cross. Hits off his chest and up on to the arm. Penalty..

Football is ruined with this rule change..

That is a real hit or miss for Scotland as it stands like.... Could get Portugal, Could get Kosovo!

I am right in thinking that anybody can draw any body within the nations league playoff? Or is there seeding?

I think that anyone can draw anyone else in play offs. Not 100% sure on that as it doesnt say.

The playoffs are divided into paths depending on what league you qualified for. Scotland won their group in League C (they’ll play in League B in the next season), so they can only play teams from League C. Scotland are the highest ranked League C group winner so they would play the lowest ranked winner (Finland) in the semi-final, assuming neither team qualifies directly.

With most of League A in pole position to qualify that may change as they wont have enough teams left from League A to have 4 teams in Path A so the highest ranked team in League B not already qualified would join Path A and so on.

That's no much of an incentive to excel in League B. You but me better been ranked 4th or 5th in League B than first and joining the teams in League A at that stage.

Would be just Scotland type luck to end up at a disadvantage through actually succeeding in something!

Back door routes are risky ... although at least it’s a second chance.

I hope the squad don’t play the remaining qualifiers with the backup route in mind..

We should have been better placed in our group right now.. I think we will pay for the loss against the Borats!

Uefa has its little insurances to make certain that some teams are guaranteed to meet while others are conveniently kept apart.. tv. Cash. Politics. All that !

Ie. Russia/Ukraine Spain/Portugal kept away from each other whether its club or nations football.

Meanwhile Glasgow and London are ‘conveniently’ paired as host nations cities to ensure that if Scotland DO qualify (by whatever route) .. that we have their Scotland v England match up..

    Again....

55 nations involved at present and we conveniently have a guarantee to come up against the same particular opposition we had last time we got to the Euro finals.

Any qualification will be great and long overdue but it’s just fuel for the ‘66’ & ‘coming home’ brigade...

They’ve got about 8 or 9 games at Wembley including the semis and final. (After Brussels lost theirs) It will feel like they are the real host nation from the start.

The English media pish will be unbearable.
