Walk over for AEK tonight that Videton are worse at the back than us! Seriously a chance * missed to get £40m into the coffers! Would have been the easiest playoff since MTK Hungary!

"Celtic fans you must be sitting thinking what if we got to this round what an opportunity missed and must be gutted not to be in this tie, Celtic over 2 legs would have run over Vidi"

Who gives a * mate. We have a whole season to play for and it won't be defined by two * games against AEK Athens.

If we can get a couple of good results this week everycunt will be happy again and it'll all be forgot about anyway.

Anyone got any news on this?

In normal circumstances would be entering at QR1 again this season?

Was just looking it up there and it does seem likely we will have 2 Champions League places in 2021/22, for us not to Olympiacos have to knock out Wolves and probably win another game and Basel have to beat Frankfurt and then probably win another game.

Currently Scotland is sitting in 14th in the rankings that would mean the League winners enter the CL in QR3 currently we usually enter in QR1 we would then play 2 less games than we do now. The Scottish runners-up would join in QR3 in the Non Champions, so would have 2 qualifiers as well with the runners up of Ukraine, Turkey, Austria, Denmark and the Czech Republic. Basel seem more likely than Olympiacos to do well since they're probably going to knock out Frankfurt but even if they did they would only knock Scotland to 15th which is still 2 spots only the runners up enter a round before.

The runner-up path is pretty difficult though with 2nd in Ukraine, Turkey, Austria, Denmark and Czech Republic/Switzerland and then in the next round the 3rd placed teams in France and Portugal. Only 2 of those 8 teams qualify. So you could draw Dynamo Kiev, get through and draw Sporting Lisbon get through and draw Lyon or something.

If it’s one off games I think it will suit us tbh.

We have this horrible attitude away from home in 2-leg ties where we underplay as if we’re embarrassed to win, expecting to do the team back at Parkhead. We look delighted to go 1-0 up and ‘sneak’ a draw even when we’re a far better team.

One off games means there’s no fannying about. Go out with a bit of arrogance and win the match.

Celtic are seeded every round which is good but we know that teams like Cluj lay in wait!

This sounds absolutely terrible. It isn't quite clear who will be home on these one off games. If its the seeds (which isn't exactly fair in honesty) then we will be fine. However i doubt that will be case and more likely it will be a drawn out of a hat to see who's home. If this is the case then its dreadful news for us. we are more than capable of struggling even against unheard of teams in the away leg only to comfortably dispatch them at home.

This is exactly what I’m talking about.

We took 1-1 draws away from home and call it a good result, then the pressure builds and we get * at home.

In reality, 1-1 is a poor result. We should be winning those games instead of letting teams off.

Teams are delighted coming to Parkhead having got off lightly at home with all the pressure on Celtic.

Our home form didn’t * us. It was our home form AND our away form. We need to stop being happy with 1-1 draws away from home. It’s evidently a terrible result.

Would rather we played away from home than at home.

Last few big European knockout games at home have been a disaster.

Everyone is in the same boat, not sure if it benefits or hinders us.
First two rounds we need to hit the ground running and just get the games killed off in the first halfs.
3rd round, * knows who we get, but it'll be like a final for sure.

Honestly, all things considered with Covid, the change in format, the time off for us being near 5 months and the Ten being on the line, I will take what ever comes in regards to Europe. Just dont be a whipping boy.
