Anyone know the dates of this summers window? I’m already sick checking 5/6 times a day for signings and I don’t even know if window’s open yet

Always hated that period between the season ending and the transfer window opening.

This one is a little bit different as we can sign Jota/CCV permanently before the 10th, but it's still a *.

    No need to stress mate.

With Ange at the helm I’m very confident we’ll get everything we need.

Someone mentioned 6 was apparently the magic number this summer, so likely end up similar to the image below but also think we’ll get a winger that can play striker added to the squad as well.

You can sign a player even a contracted one (if fee agreed) at any time at any point in the year 365 days a year or 366 in a leap year it just doesn’t go onto the fifa TMS Transfer Management System until the buyer clubs official window opens :50:

Got to agree think 6 is the number too

    left back
    Centre mid
    Centre back
    Winger
    Third striker
Potentially a 2nd centre back if we don’t get CCV Done

Love this and Yeah have to agree.

Need a CM that is powerful and able to step right in to the first team.
Need a CB that is at least the calibre of Julien/Starfelt to be a rotational 3rd choice.
Need a LB of the calibre of Josip, to allow us to have two on each side.
Need another right winger/attacker - this could be in the mould of a Maeda - where they can also play up top. Would let us not need to sign another striker, knowing Maeda, RW and Abada can all fill in adequately.
Would like another keeper, would like to be rid of Bain, but considering Bain just signed a new deal this past season, I doubt we will see another come in. Tobi needs a chance as well.

Including Jota and CVV, we need to sign 5 or 6 (the striker/RW being last priority).
Would then want to see us use more of the youth talent when we can - * maybe really don't need that extra winger/striker if we can use Vata, Kenny etc as attackers. Lawal and Murray getting some sort of chance as well.

Go in to the new season with all of that, I see us being very strong under Ange.

10th June can't come quick enough. Ideally we have Jota and CVV confirmed before then. Then get the CM, CB and LB in the door before the end of June. Finally any one who leaves from the above team(s) needs replaced directly (Forrest aside, as he could be covered by the potential rw/st coming in).

All done before July starts and we would have a full month for all of these guys to "gel" and take part in the pre-season.
Wouldn't it be wonderful and refreshing to have this all done in those sort of time frames?

Including Jota and CCV 6 would be about right I'd say...4 being first 11 starters.

    Jota
    CCV
    CDM
    LB

The other two can be anywhere else in the team as good level of rotation will be needed....at a push, maybe we see 8 coming in

I remember having an argument about this a few years back when I made a post about the board being lazy * and some posters stated but we can’t sign people out of the window it doesn’t happen.

At the time there was several high profile signings around Europe as well.

Getting a bit annoyed that we haven’t confirmed both Jota and CCV due to the deadline coming up.

I would like to sign another number 10 type player who is quick because it’s something that we lack for Europe.

I fully expect Ange to replace Tam as well.

Aye it’s a common misconception tbh. You can sign a player at any time but cannot register him until the window officially opens unless it’s a loan to buy like we have done with Daizen

that would be a great start to the season, I’m also really happy we won’t be playing Bitton as emergency CH ever again

CELTIC underwent an almighty transformation last summer in nearly every area of the club.

From the boardroom, the manager and, of course, the playing squad, there was upheaval almost everywhere you looked at Parkhead.

In the end, the wholesale change paid the ultimate dividend, with new boss Ange Postecoglou leading his new-look squad to the Premiership and League Cup double in his first season in charge.

It looks set to be yet another busy summer ahead at Parkhead, certainly on the players' front.

Postecoglou will no doubt be looking to strengthen further as the Hoops make their much anticipated return to the Champions League groups stage.

In terms of outgoings from the club, it's going to be busy.

Long-serving stars Tom Rogic and Nir Bitton have already said their goodbyesand they are set to be joined by a sizable number of B team and youth hopefuls, many of whom were on the cusp of the first team

SunSport runs the rule over the raft of Hoops youngsters who look likely to be looking for a fresh start having not quite made the grade at Parkhead

    Luca Connell

The Republic of Ireland youth cap arrived at Parkhead in the summer of 2019 to much anticipation.

He'd already established himself in the Bolton Wanderers first team in the second half of the season just gone, and Celtic saw enough to part with £350,000 to secure his services.

Ultimately, it hasn't worked out and now aged 21, he's about to exit Celtic Park having failed to make a single first team appearance for the club.

Connell spent the last 18 months on loan at Queen's Park, helping the Spiders to back to back promotions.

Many Celtic fans will see this one as a case of what might've been.

According to the Scottish Express, Connell is considering options in Scotland and England as he ponders his next move.

    Kerr McInroy
The midfielder has been on the fringes of the Celtic first team for a couple of seasons, but like Connell, he seems set to leave without registering an appearance.

Also 21, McInroy has spent the majority of the last two years out on loan.

After spells at Dunfermline and Airdrieonians, he joined Ayr United in January and impressed in the Championship.

While it won't come at Celtic, the Scotland under-21 international could be about to get a crack at Scotland's top tier.

Kilmarnock are interested in landing McInroy as they look to strengthen ahead of their Premiership return, according to the Daily Record.

    Ross Doohan

The goalkeeper has been in and around the Celtic first team picture for several years, but he has reached the age of 24 and nothing has been nailed down yet.

An unused sub on a number of occasions, Doohan is another who has yet to manage a first team Hoops appearance.

He does, however, have a raft of first team football experience under his belt from several loan moves.

Two seasons as Ayr United's first choice between 2018 and 2020 was followed by stints at Ross County and Dundee United.

He enjoyed perhaps his most successful season to date in the campaign just gone, playing 30 times for Tranmere Rovers in English League Two.

But the Hoops have Scott Bain, Vasilis Barkas and Joe Hart on the books until 2024.

    Ryan Mullen
Another goalkeeper on the way out of Parkhead is Ryan Mullen.

Another 21-year old, the Scotland youth international spent some time on loan at Queen's Park the season before last but played just once.

There was a clause in his contract that could've seen Celtic take up another year, but it wasn't activated.

Sheffield United have offered Mullen a trial, according to Football Scotland.

    Jonathan Afolabi

The Hoops won the race to sign Afolabi from Southampton three years ago and it was seen as an exciting signing for the future.

Then-manager Neil Lennon believed he had the potential to quickly become a first team option.

Like other mentioned before though, Afolabi never made a first team debut.

Instead, the Ireland under-21 international has been loaned out to Dunfermline, Dundee, Ayr and Airdrieonians.

They have yet to confirm his future beyond this summer with his contract having expired but the path to first-team football at Parkhead is crowded.

    Barry Coffey
Also out of contract this summer, the Irishman's future is another source of uncertainty.

The midfielder appeared as an unused substitute on a handful of occasions, but never made that first team breakthrough.

Spent last season on loan at Cork City.

    Karamoko Dembele
Once touted as THE next big thing, Dembele's contact at Celtic expires this summer.

The Hoops would love to keep a hold of the forward who made his first team debut at the age of just 16 in May 2019 - but nothing is in place thus far and he has been consistently linked with moves away.

Dembele managed eight appearances for the Hoops' top team, also scoring in a Premiership clash against St Johnstone.

Hopes that he could finally reach his potential last season under Ange Postecoglou were massively hampered when he sustained an injury pre-season that ultimately kept him out for the majority of the campaign

    The state of play
Brody Paterson is also out of contract, while Ewan Henderson has also left the club - his loan move to Hibs became a permanent one as part of that initial January deal

Uncertainty also remains over some other young Hoops stars.

Scott Robertson has just one year left on his deal, while Osaze Urhoghide has a long-term contract but could yet be wanted permanently by Oostende, the Belgian club he spent the second half of last season on loan at.

Adam Montgomery and Liam Shaw are both back from their loans at Aberdeen and Motherwell respectively, but they have plenty of time to try and stake a first team claim

Pretty happy we are clearing out youth that just aren't going to make it. Ange's work at youth level for Australia and expectations for his style mean he'll be able to spot more than others.

Good. Shows again they have no clue about what we're going for. Another few kyogo like announcements will do me. Zero inclination who were in for, means nobody's leaking nothing. How it should be.

Hate this bit of the Year, before the summer window opens...

But, at least we don't have CL Qualifiers on the 18th of July.. :ange2:
