It's the exact opposite, he hasnt done well at any decent teams or Leagues because he isnt very good.

Your the one thinking he's good because he's scored goals in the Eredivisie and that alone, not because he is any good.

For every Afonso Alves there's a Ruud Van Nistelrooy... Dutch league is tricky like that.

    Totally agreed.

His record at Hull was an embarrassment as well, wouldn't touch him with a barge pole.

I'm thinking he is good because I have seen him play, and seen him play well. I've said it before and I'll say it again, we play in the SPL... not La Liga, not The Premiership, not Serie A, not The Budesliga.

Malki, Bulykin, El Hamdaoui, Junker, Everton, Janko, Afonso Alves, Pantelic, Koevermans, Pelle, N'Kufo, Marcus Berg, Amoah... Altidore!

All recent strikers who scored for fun in Holland, none of them are up to much.

The likes of Bas Dost and Van Wolfswinkel arent even that good.

Bryan Ruiz who plays in midfield for Fulham even managed to score 24 goals in a season in that League.

Bas Dost, Marcus Berg, Van Wolfswinkel and Janko. Four players who in the past people were dying for us to sign.

It is a pointless debate because the only way my point can be proved is if he actually joins us and proves you all wrong. British football fans have a terrible habit of holding grudges on footballers.

Bas Dost would cost £5 million, Berg is *, and hasn't scored this season, Van Wolfswinkel has signed for Norwich if they are not relegated, and Janko has scored once this season in Turkey.

I like the type of player that you are suggesting though :50:

If we were rich I'd go after [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilfried_Bony"]Wilfried Bony - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame]

EDIT: Changed my mind, think Janko would still be a good signing and wouldn't cost a heap either.

I'd still take Janko, Dost or Van Wolfswinkel any day of the week. If Berg was to regain his form he would be unreal for us.

A striker in the mould of Janko or Dost would be nice.

I wasn't suggesting them, was having a little debate and someone else mentioned them!

Wilfred Bony would be quality, but that is waaaay out our reach!

I would like us to sign artur boka to take izaguirre place as his standard has dropped hugely, nedum onouha who I think would partner wilson well at the back whilst also being lightning quick. Emmanuel frimpong if wanyama goes, he's not lived up to his early hype at arsenal mostly due to injury, but I think if kept fit he could be a top player. I'd also like two watford players in vydra and forriesteri.

I think we could get all them for about 12 million, but if wanyama was sold that would cover it all and give us a mix of experience, youth and all within our wage structure I reckon

Nicolai Boilesen from Ajax to come in at LB for Izzaguire. Think it's time for a change out there.

I know Boilesen has been rated highly but according to his wiki (I know) he isn't getting a game? Or is he injured?..

Yes, but they haven't signed him yet. Point being, i'm sure lots of clubs watch hundreds of players, doesn't mean they are going to sign them.
