    Some absolutely epic films on that list with many really well worth watching again. Some amount of effort went into all of this @Taz I enjoyed scrolling down the list :50:

    On the films forgotten about I would have nominated - Mississippi Burning from 1988

    Cheers mate. Mississippi Burning I didn't count, along with one or two others such as Zodiac or that are based on RL events. As there were already 150 odd films in that as it was, think there is more than enough to do a true crime/biographical etc one as its own genre in due course.

    Aye, it's the same even seeing those pics. You can remind me til you are blue in the face that it's fake but it still creeps me right out, and a tiny tiny tiny part of my mind says "nah its real" :56:

    Originally the shark (Bruce) was to have more screen time, but the models kept breaking down, so Spielberg worked around that by implying the threat through the music rather than actually showing the shark.

    Also, Hooper was supposed to die in the shark cage scene. A midget actor was filmed in the cage in the water with a real shark but after the initial take, the actor was so terrified he refused to go back in the cage again, so Spielberg changed it so that Hooper swam off and hid until the end.

    Quint's story about the USS Indianapolis is based on the real story of the ship, albeit Robert Shaw wasn't on it.
