    I myself, don't rate him as highly as most people will do. But in all honesty, the amount of money and the complicated contract he signed and they agreed to is crazy. I don't care what anybody says, this boy is not worth the money Man Ure have paid for him! I would like to hear the rest of your views on him signing for Man U and the amount he signed for. He is a good footballer who is overpaid for his age! :icon_mad:

    i was reading a few conspiracy theories about that transfer:

    one was that everton the board knew that there would be murder with the fans if they accepted a bid of hunited so they arranged for newcastle to make the bid known united would bite and the fans would think the board were just taking the highest offer.

    the other is hunited got newcastle to make the bid cos they did'nt feel everton would except a bid of them and once they accepted newcastle's they could'nt refuse a better bid from hunited. here's were it gets far fetched, united are gonna give newcastle john o shea in the next transfer window for there part in the act.


    Somebody been watching to much dream team or footballers wife's if you ask me.

    altough if o shea goes to newcastle i'll be *.


    As for rooney he paid to sleep with a 45 year old granny in a rubber cat suit, unforfuckinggivable in my book.

    roney is a good player with alot of potential, but hes never worth 30million.smith(even though it was a knock down price)only cost 7 and hes a proven goalscorer.rooney has had like half a season&euro championships.engilish media inflated his value.

    I still cant believe Man U have paid this much! Its pure crazy if you ask me!! The chances of Man U getting their moneys worth is very slim!!

    Coming from a Man Utd fans point of view, i think his performance on Tuesday night speaks for itself.
    How can a Celtic fan call any player over rated when you have the likes of John Hartson and Chris Sutton in your team, two players who just couldn't cut it in the premiership?
    Time will tell with Rooney, i thoroughly believe he is the only player in the last 30 years who has the potential to get near the likes of Pele and Maradonna.

    Fergie is putting together the final pieces of his 3rd generation squad. His first than won the league in 93, his second that dominated Europe in 99 and this is now phase 3. With two of possibly best talents on the planet at the moment in Rooney and Ronaldo, defenders must be at their wits end.

    Come back when you guys get past a qualifying stage in the champions league.
