Thinking About A Tattoo..

Ive thought about getting a tattoo lately, and i plan on getting one soon.. im only 17 but i think the aul pair would be grand with it!

I want a big one on the top of my back and on my neck, would have to be something irish and celtic related because i live in Republic and diehard Celtic fan..

I know they can be painfull to have done but thats not what am wonderning, what i am wondering is, what sort of design shud i get done..??

if you guys could post some tatoos or sketches, it would be a big help and apreciated ALOT. so far i only have one design in my head, but everytime i try to draw it, it looks *..

Something like this ?, go onto google images mate and type in Celtic tattoo when I need ideas that's what I usually do.

Plenty of good flash designs that you could alter to your own taste.

 

Maybe something that is personal to you with the irish pride writing wrapped round it , or something personal with the colours of the flag through it..
Not sure how well those colours show up in tattoos though..

It shouldn't be too difficult to remove the revolving image that obscures each design (they want you to buy them first to see it properly which I think is pish) so if you see any you think you might like , post links to the designs and I'll post them cleaned up..

 

ive a phoenix the top of my back spreading across my shoulder blades, very sore place to get 1 and id have a high pain tolerance....

 

Ask around, talk to people you know with good tattoos and find a good artist. Take your ideas to the tattoo shop. Any artist worth their salt will be able to draw something original up for you. Although it doesn't hurt to bring a sketch or pictures for reference.

 

my tip would be don't go looking for something smart,think of something you really want and go from there.theres millions of smart looking tattoos but you want it to be personal to yourself,something you will always like and never regret.cover ups can be a pain

 

Thanks Some good ideas around here, was up at the place ill be getting it done at today getting my tounge pierced, and he said if i draw out, or print out anything, they can do it.

Yea WaterfordCeltic, i heard that but it will be mainly on the neck and stretching a bit down to my back.. no pain no glory
