I'd much rather we signed Nisbet over Santana.

Turning 30 next month and had 2 good seasons in his career, both in Japan.

Goes against our signing policy and would be a monumental downgrade on Giakoumakis, when we need to be signing someone with the opposite effect.

I'd rather give someone from the B team or another Scottish talent (if any exist) a chance.

    No thanks!

Nisbet a much better option than this guy and people turning their nose up at him.

Better player- yes? Better fit for the team- no. We need a strong, physically imposing guy if GG leaves.

do we Nisbet scores goals isn’t the smallest in the world. Causes the Huns problems every time they play. I’d much rather someone like Nisbet who we know can score at this level than an unknown who might not settle etc.

Fair enough about Santana not settling. But Huns leave Hibs (and Nisbet) more space than they afford us. We often have to smash open a set defense.

They did when they had 2-1 last time. It failed because of a physical striker drawing all the attention onto himself.

All he did was turn and shoot after finding some space in the box that then deflected into the path of Kyogo. It's not like he was holding defenders off him. If anything, it's more a credit to his movement (which is underrated imo) in the penalty box than his physicality.

Love the big man but we don't half go over the top with him sometimes.

Still, he attracted 3 guys onto himself. Nisbet can't do that- his skills are somewhat closer to Kyogo's. We specifically need to have GG or a roughly similar striker in our roster. I'd rather Santana than Nisbet for this purpose.

Nisbet has scored all types of goals he’s a much better option than Santana he’s not similar to Kyogo much bigger than Kyogo in stature and how he plays up front

He didn't attract anyone until he got the ball though then only Davies was close enough to close him down. Any player can do that simply just by being in possession of the ball, especially in the penalty area.

I'm not saying we don't need that physical option up top btw I think we could do with a target man type.
