    We've signed 2 players over 30 that are current team mainstays. Age isn't the problem here. It's the fact that Santana would have to adapt, and that he clearly wasn't the first choice to replace GG. He'd surely be aware of that. Coming to a different football culture, I'm not sure he'd come.

    If he wasn't Brazilian, this would be a goer. I don't think we're in for him, despite him being a solid striker.

    It's probably just twitter horseshit anyway, but why not, if it's a player that's coming in to be a backup option? Mooy is 32 and putting in a solid shift for us, not every 'old' player is ready for the knackers yard like McCarthy.

    I presume you're talking about Mooy and Hart when you say over 30 and mainstays.. Two completey different signings for completey different reasons..I'd be absolutely shocked if we signed a 29 year old Brazilian striker playing in Japan

    Mooy was brought in as cover but has excelled no doubt. Ange knew Mooy very well and it was very cheap outlay and low risk. Great signing.

    29 year old striker goes against our transfer policy, just don't see it.
