Gotze back to Dortmund is good. Some players have left, but then they have brought in some good players as well.

Enough to beat bayern? Probably not, but will do them well for Europe and give Munich a good push.

Liverpool have more attacking midfielders though. Coutinho, Firmino, Lallana and Mane so Gotze would just be adding to an area where they're not too bad already.

They do need more legs in the centre of the park. Hendersons always been quite average, Lucas is limited, Allen never really made a mark, Can looks promising but its still early days for him.

If I was them i'd keep:

Sell Moreno, Allen, Ibe, Milner, Markovic, Balotelli and Benteke - would probably get £70-80million for them. Skrtel and Toure have already left. They need a left-back and maybe another striker, preferably a top striker if they have the money

If I was them i'd go for Bertrand, Van Dijk and not sure of who they could get as a striker as they probably couldnt attract players like Griezmann, Higuain, Aubameyang or that.

Just been talking to a Norwich fan round the hotel today and he said the club want 20 million for Robbie Brady :smiley-laughing002: no wonder we can't buy players when people like him are valued that high

Alen Halilovic, Barcelona to Hamburg. 5 million€.

 

Looks like Schurrle is signing for Dortmund.

They've lost some of their best players but they're making good signings as well.

Typical liverpool, different manager but still making underwhelming signings. I actually thought they had a chance with gotze.

 

Barca have signed Andre Gomes.

 

The Portuguese Rogic, looked good in Portugals first game of the Euros but didnt do much after that.

 

Didn't rate him from what I seen at the Euro's.

Must have something though if Barca have went for him.

 

Good signing from right under the nose of Real aswell looked like they could get him the other day

 

I've never been too impressed with Andre Gomes whenever I've seen him, which granted, is only a handful of times

 

Do not understand the Gomez signing at all, not denying hes a good player having watched him in the la liga alot last year, but to spend that money on a player who will likely be way down the pecking order is mad.

Also I see someone wrote schrulle has almost signed for dortmund? I though he was meh at wolfsberg. Thought theyd have signed Bellerabi or Hermann the german

 

Song to Rubin is simply odd, he could go on and play for so many better clubs.

 

Andre Gomes is a weird one for me aswell. He doesn't seem like a Barca type player, and he's probably not gonna be a starter ahead of Busquets, Rakitic, Iniesta. Yet apparently the fee is something like £40 million.

Halilovic leaving them is also a bit strange, was supposed to be the next big thing when they signed him. Don't really know how he got on at Gijon but he was in Croatia's Euro squad and with their midfield options that isn't easy. Only for £4 million or thereabouts, if we had pushed the boat out a wee bit even we could have matched that.

 

Anytime I've seen gomes I've always liked what I've seen likes to take the ball and defence on can pick out a pass and has a decent strike on him and at 22 still has alot of room for improvement think iniesta will play less this year and he's only got another 2 years prob at the level he's playing at. I know £40m is steep but I'd rather they paid that for him than £100m for Pogba

Halilovic is strange especially at that price thought he had alot of promise around him have they maybe got a buy back clause in place like they have used in the past with young players and Real just did with Morata?

 

Andre Gomes, good player but not good enough for Real Madrid or Barcelona. Not worth the fee either, rising to €50m. Real Madrid pulled out of the negotiations due to Valencias demands, that's how he's ended up at Barcelona.
