Rafa is the king of clay and the favourite heading in to today's match. What remains to be seen is what effect the roof being on will have on the outcome. That may favour Nole. Should be a great match.

I await the inevitable sour grapes of 'he didnae really beat him coz the roof was on' if Novak wins. :giggle1:

Clutching at straws here I'm afraid. Let's remove Wimbledon a clear serving surface and count out the Slam victories....

Seriously, Federer will finish 3rd if Djokovic stays healthy. Roddick isn't even in the best 20 of all time.

Sorry but you can't just remove the results from one of the Grand Slams because it doesn't fit your argument. That's like saying we'll just ignore the French Open and work out who the best ever is from there. Rafa wouldn't even be in the conversation if we did that.

I do agree with some of what you're saying but you really cannot just 'remove' Wimbledon. Winning there eight times is a phenomenal achievement by anyone's standard.

I was being sarcastic in my reply as the other poster was discrediting Nadal's achievement because of a surface.

This is ridiculous. Djokovic is either the second or third best player in the world on clay and he's struggling to win a game here. It's absurd how good Nadal can be on this surface.
