The "penalty" incident

Not really, Leigh Griffiths was booked for diving against St Johnstone for doing the exact same thing, throwing his leg into the defender and there wasn't many talking about an honest mistake.

 

Not comparable, that was a dive, maybe the Inverness player was playing for the foul but it wasn't a dive.

 

He did the exact same thing, put his leg in looking for contact and fell down immediately, whether any contact was made is irrelevant as the ICT player instigated it, he threw his leg into Svaitchenko, not the other way around. He made up his mind to put his leg in and fall over rather than shoot, he got what he deserved.

 

He drew the foul, no doubt but that doesn't mean your allowed to go through the back of him.

 

Anyone got a link to it? I was flicking between that and the All Ireland Final and missed it, * were talking about it every time I flicked back without showing the replay!

It's a foul.

 

He wasn't shaping to shoot, he threw his leg into the path of Sviatchenko, it looked clear to me what he was doing.

Whether we would scream for it or not doesn't mean it was actually a penalty. :smiley-laughing002:

didn't see much of the game so i'll make a choice after sportscene .

Irrelevant the he stuck his leg out or that he was looking for the penalty. He put himself in front of the ball and Eric made contact with him from behind in the penalty box. If we get denied that same penalty I would be livid.

 

It wasn't even in the box for a start.

 

Again this is irrelevant, drawing the foul is the smart thing to do.

 

OK even if that is the case, its still a foul.

If fans of another team were having this debate I would laugh at how delusional they were being.
