Following the announcement today by the CCCC regarding venues for the All-Ireland GAA Quarter-Final Group stage (Super 8's) games.

C.L.G. Dhún na nGall are to seek a meeting with GAA Officials to seek clarification on how any County may use a Ground as both Neutral and a Home venue .
The intention of the meeting is to ensure a level playing field for every team who will qualify for the All-Ireland Quarter-Final Group Stage and ensure that no team has any advantage over any other team.

Also have to say, I was critical of McGeeney in the not so distant past.
My mind has changed and I think he is doing a good job.

Not a hope it would happen but I would take him back, honestly think he's a great manager, our players would have died for him. Are Armagh keeping him? great win for us the last few weeks hopefully we can keep it up against Monaghan, be a tough game but if we are at our best we can win.

Armagh would be silly to not keep him , he has done great with what's on offer to him and he has built up a decent young squad there.

When Armagh have played attacking football this year it has been a joy to watch at times.

So all in all McGeeney has done a good job and the squad is progressing.

Monaghan will be very difficult They are the one team I didn't want in our group. In my opinion they are the best team in Ulster at this time.

I can't believe they lost against Fermanagh all though infairness same with us against Carlow. If we can do a job on McManus we'll do ok. Yeah they are up there with the best. Donegal are immense this year but losing Paddy McBrearty will probably end their hopes this year.

So for the super 8's teams have to play 1 home, 1 away and 1 neutral venue. So in effect each team plays in a different venue for each game. That seems to be logical.

However we have the case of 2 different teams playing in the same venue twice. Donegal whose supporters have to make an 8 hour round trip twice and Dublin who play 2 games on their own doorstep. I would think that the media would take up the cause of the supporters who have to endure the most hardship. However we have a case of the media and the GAA doing their best to make a case for this injustice.

Time for the rest of the country to follow up on the lead taken by Kildare and take on the bias from the GAA. It might be Donegal this time but in the future it could be Tyrone, Mayo, Galway, Armagh, Kerry etc.

Dublin themselves should really want a level playing field to prove the are truly the best team in the country instead of dragging out ex players to give the impression they are disadvantaged.

    Tyrone tanking Roscommon.
I'm glad Armagh never got.to the last 8 now as a couple of heavy defeats would have undone all the good work this season.

Strange how the RTE pundits classed that as a good foul by Dublin (which it was) but if it's an Ulster team it would be classed as cynical fouling and be calling for black cards.
