Season tickets holders will be guaranteed a ticket. Mayo have significantly more

 

It'll be a 50/50 split first of all, approx 4,000 each, before getting into season ticket numbers.

As was discussed all week, season ticket holders aren't guaranteed a ticket.

'In the event that the number of Season Ticket holders exceeds stadium capacity the GAA offers no guarantee of the availablilty of seats or entry to the fixture'.

Mayo confirmed they only have 3,500 ST holders today.

 

This is why every county should have a scheme in place and take into account those who attend National League games and offer those who do -a ticket first before the Championship followers are able to get their hands on them.

 

The capacity for the game will be 8,200, with 1,500 tickets given to both counties and distributed through the clubs.

The other 5,200 tickets will be spread among players, season ticket holders and sponsors.

Season ticket holders will make up close to half of the capacity, with Mayo alone accounting for 3,500 season tickets.

That means the majority of fans at the game will be from Mayo.

 

That's exactly what the ST does mate. And it's not enough to just purchase it, they actually monitor your attendance.

 

That's good that it works that way.
I'll have to get myself one next year as I usually just pay at the gate .

Hopefully those who deserve a ticket get one.

You would imagine the 5,200 should be split down the middle or that the 1,500 given to Mayo will be used to cover some of their ST's. Ludicrous that Mayo would be given such a disproportionate split given it's a home game for Kildare and that technically the Mayo ST holders aren't entitled to entry.

Although given there was only 5k at the Longford Kildare game and about half that at Derry Kildare, maybe the loyal Mayo brigade deserve it

 

I'd be surprised if there was more than 10,000 There.
But with the good weather there should be a good crowd , although it's a long * drive for Clare for a 3 pm throw in.

 

They have around 4,000 season ticket holders (we have far less) then 1,500 are going to clubs in Kildare and Mayo. A small amount went on general sale today and looked to be picked up mostly by Mayo supporters judging by boards.ie tried myself to no avail. They will probably outnumber us 3 to 1.

Ah I thought he done well and didn't seem arrogant to me and I wouldn't think he's a great manager very good at the aul interviews though. Yeah I think we did well and showed balls for the first time in a while. Hopefully if it occurs again to the likes of Laois or Wiclow they react the same way as us. Small to middle counties shouldn't be pushed around.

 

Mayo have two sets of season ticket holders they have a proper one with the GAA and then another with there own county board.

 

Regardless of the result on Saturday you have a big win under your belt and the support of the majority of GAA fans outwith Mayo.

 

I think the majority of Mayo fans are grand with us it was nothing to do with them it was between us and the GAA but yeah the whole country was behind Kildare and the support was definitely appreciated cause of the backlash from all over the country definitely helped.

 

I meant outwith mayo because they’ll obviously be supporting their own team
