Ah lads, grandfathers a mayo man, so that was immense. Always been my second team after Kildare. They were immense yesterday after the first half, just gave it everything. D O Connor keeping the ball in after Robbie Hennely's kick was the turning point and then McLoughlin hitting it over. There is a lot written about Mayo's inability to bring through top-level forwards, which is bullshit obviously when they have had Moran, Cillian, Jason Doherty, etc but Tommy Conroy and O Donoghoe are immense so direct.

Onto the ref he was a disgrace how he let the game go on after the hit on McClaughlin was crazy. How Small didn't get red was also crazy. McCarthy, Con and Costello all should have been gone too.

Please * let Mullens injury clear up. and please * let Mayo win it.

Good news for Mayo that the final has been pushed back. Hopefully means Mullin gets that extra time to recover.

It was a strange one I thought. In that for the first half Dublin were very good. Totally dominated the game and go in well in control 6 points up. But as good as the first half was the second half was the direct opposite and that panic stations at the end that allowed Mayo to force extra time was crazy. Credit to Mayo and good luck to them in the final.
It was pretty clear though that this season was the end of the era for what has been the greatest team of all time in Gaelic football so I was not overly surprised at the loss but the manner was crazy considering how good and in total control Dublin were at half time.

We may have been in control but it was * to watch mate.. this hand passing sideways backwards any which way but going forward.. you might get away with it in the Leinster but Mayo are no mugs and figured it out at half time..

It's Dublins style that * me off. I see Dublin like Celtic.. Best players, best squad big support, just go and play the game, * this going 6 points up and killing the game... better teams like Mayo and Kerry have figured it out.. I think I just preferred Football 15 years ago:56:

Anyway judging by the WhatsApp messages I was getting Dessie wont last, serious unrest in the camp

What your saying about the unrest makes sense and I would bet its probably true in some form. There is no way that Dublin perform so poorly throughout the season as they did if everything was fine behind the scenes. Cleary it was not and for sure hopefully Farrell is gone soon as a result.
Also agree with you about how dreadful it was to watch even in the first half when we were on top. I was just thinking exactly that as I was watching it that great we are winning but boy is this boring to watch.
Bottom line for me though is that Farrell needs to go and a new manager come in to bring the dressing room back together and to reenergize the teams play.

Fair play to Kerry and Mayo but this gives Tyrone a big advantage

Hoping to see Limerick prevail on Sunday

I spent 37 years on this earth having my heartbroken so the thought of a 3rd All Ireland in 4 years has my nerves shot

    It's a 50-50 game

Cork have the best record against us over the last three years

Their style of play is a nightmare for Limerick

It seems like forever we have had a final without Dublin or Kerry participating so it would be nice to see a Mayo v Tyrone final.. And Hopefully Mayo win it..

As for Dublin, general consensus is it might take a few years for a rebuild and another all Ireland which isn't great for Dubs but good for the game in general I think..

Yep, doesn't get better than that... Can see a Kilkenny like dominance for a while with that team

Certainly looks like a really significant rebuild for sure is on the cards for Dublin. I am sure we will still be there or thereabouts but yes it does look like we will not be winning an All Ireland in the next few years.

Agree with you about the final as well. Hopefully Mayo v Tyrone and you really would be pretty cold hearted other then been a Tyrone fan to not want to see Mayo have their day in the sun.

Certainly looks that way. Thats 3 in 4 and wow that was some performance. Not often you see such total dominance in an All Ireland final.
