Reminds me when I used to live in flats overlooking the Royal Welch Fusiliers barracks in Wrexham. One day the brass bands were out & a big chinook was coming in loudly, I hung my tricolour out my window & proudly stood there bare chested, with a joint in my mouth flicking the Vs up to whoever was bothered to look up.

Seen a wildcat heliwhopter today flying over mullusk just outside Belfast. Strange one for here. Grey/dark grey camouflage. Had to look it up. Distinctive with its big air ducts/exhausts? and big nose camera/guidance system?
Remember as a kid in primary school we used to watch the chinooks dropping supplies of on top of divis tower.
The uncle used to tell me about his wee trip in a Brit helicopter. Put into it, then hooded, engines fired up, took off, door opened then kicked out at a height of about 5-10 feet.
It was always the last bit that stuck with me as it got his back up. It was always the exact same, word for word. ' a * * myself, da *, a * * myself' then under his breath 'the *' lol

I've been seeing a lot of activity on the firth of clyde. Posted a photo of a low flying aircraft on the wildlife thread the other night. It really was flying very low on the water. Loads of Warships as well lately.

Yes Marty I live quite near the northern edge Snowdonia and Euro Typhoons And F15 Eagles Show well From time to time, sometimes very near my house. Hawk trainers are very regular and sometimes big Patrol and big transport planes.
Of course in the centre of Snowdonia there is much more activity,a place called The Loop which is perhaps the best place in the British Isles to see Military Aircraft. :50:

They've used the MOD ranges at Barry Buddon next to me in the past for these things, aerial landings and beach landings etc. There is always activity there anyway and you can feel some of the explosions through the ground at times even at my house and especially on the golf course

@Jeannie960 prepare to see a few more warships.

Aye it's a UK wide exercise, there's stuff going on all across the isles. It's a huge NATO thing.
