I hope I’m wrong but the ad gave me really tacky vibes to be honest. They seem to have made it very Hollywood and less earthy than the series.

That works for me...always wanted to know more about Dickie Moltisanti, inspired casting with Olivia.

The trailer will always do big scary music *,

    What ya gonna do :39:

The young Gandolfini looks like his old man so much at times even in that wee trailer. Hope this is good been waiting on it for ages.

Looks good to me. Can’t wait for this.
Is it mandatory for Ray Liotta to get a part in any mob movie going these days?

What’s the odds it’s actually Tony who was the lone gunman that killed dickie moltisanti always found it odd how he used Christopher’s fathers death to bring him closer and use it to kill a cop

Yea I’ve thought that for a long time. You can see in that scene it’s as if Tony is hiding something, he also never misses an opportunity to tell Chrissy how much of a ‘legend’ his old man was. By all accounts Dickie was a glorified junkie loser. Tony has just locked up his guilt and painting this picture of Dickie to Christopher is his roundabout way of apologising for something he hasn’t confessed to but knows he has done.

Went to this today. Was pretty good for the fans, although not sure aside from those who would be tempted.

In being completely honest, there was probably too much going on in this movie, that perhaps will need to check it out again, but it felt like it would and probably should have been much better suited to tell the story over the span of a limited series, maybe 8-10 episodes but has been crammed in to a 2hr movie, whihc doesn't really do it justice.

It is set initially c. 1967-68 ish and then about 5-ish years later, so there is plenty of wriggleroom in terms of years after that where they could fill in more gaps along the way. I am trying not to say too much as don't want to spoil anything for you guys who, I assume, are likely to check it out for yourselves, but I will say that the trailer is a little misleading.
