[PS3] The Last of us

Well if anyone can do it, it would be Naughty Dog. Uncharted 2 was better than the original for example.

 

Best game I've ever played by miles

 

Never played the Uncharted games so don't have a clue.

 

Quite different though.

Because of the heavy nature of TLOU, and the fact that this game had a perfect conclusion, it would be very tough to recreate that. Uncharted 2 still followed the same characters and due to the fun tone of the game, it was always going to have a sequel.

It's a strange one. I'd love a sequel with different characters because I love the atmosphere of the game and gameplay. However I'd be worried about the quality of characters.

 

Yeah there are so many possibilities. Will the hunters and fireflies be in it for example?Could it be a prequel to the events in the original? They may even explore different locations where different factions exist. Rockstar will also have the same problem when they make their new red dead game as everyone liked John Marston.

They put a last of us easter egg in the last uncharted game so I will look at the new one for a clue.

 

Uncharted is an incredible series of games, i would highly recommend you play them especially as you liked the last of us

 

I've only a ps4 I flung my ps3 out so can't go back and play them.

Could I jump straight into the new one or do you need to follow the story?

 

The only way I could see it working would be if the firefly's come after Joel and Ellie finds out he lied.

I honestly hope they could find a story half as good as the first one but I doubt it. The first game was perfection. Canny wait for the film either but think it should've been a tv show instead.

 

Naughty Dog said recently there is only a 50% chance a sequel will happen, the head writer and lead artist has since left to join EA and the developer of Tomb Raider. They're unsure of what they could actually do with a sequel they're also working on other games so it would years before they made it.

Despite what's said though whether it's good or bad a sequel will definitely be made, if they didn't they'd be losing 2 of the memorable characters ever made and throwing away millions of dollars in the process.

 

If a sequel is made, I don't think Joel and Ellie would be in it.

As has been said, their story came to a perfect conclusion. They would risk ruining it by involving them again.

 

If they don't make a sequel

Anybody got any idea who they want cast for the film? That Maisie Williams looks all but confirmed for Ellie but a really hope they don't go with her :smiley-laughing002:.

 

I was kind of hoping they would use different characters. Just hope they don't mess it up, but they probably will.

 

I'm over the moon that she's playing Ellie.
