The January Transfer Window 2021-2022

Delighted Ange will have best part of 3 weeks to work with the new arrivals..

Wouldn't it be great if more followed quickly.

 

We've been in the position of people saying stuff like that before... Our board have history with 'balancing the books' that could see all good will wiped out in a pen stroke...

But, I'm actually quite optimistic for once. The new lads will have a good break to move, settle, integrate and for everyone to get up to speed with each other before we've any serious matches.

Please *! Let this be the one where we get all of our signings in quickly, and the last day transfer drama is us shipping out the last of our dross in the final hours...

 

Really can't fault the board on this occasion, conducting smart business ahead of schedule and backing the manager in the process. It'll be interesting to see whether they now prioritise strengthening other areas or whether they look to tie down our current loanees.

 

If the figures for these 3 lads are true then it looks like great business.But it also makes you wonder why a club like ours (limited finances)haven,t looked at the asian market before.

I mean it seems a no brainer...these lads are looking at a gateway to the epl and we are a team who can offer that.We get them for buttons and sell them on when they start to make a name for them selves.We,d love them to stay but we know that doesnt happen.

Seems the way forward to me,also there is the huge market for advertisement for our sponsors.

Do we really need two more wingers?

Forrest, Abada, Dembele, Johnston, Jota, Maeda and Moffat can play those 2 positions

 

Heading into the 2nd half of the season i dont want to be relying on moffat or mikey, dembele is injured, jota is injured, forrest has been breaking down anytime he plays and abada has been completely out of form.

We could definitely do with another.

 

Maeda will probably be rotated as a number 9/winger and Moffat isn't ready. Should go on loan..

Dembele's been injured for 6 month. Forrest is starring to look injury prone. Mikey is massively flattering to deceive..

We should be looking for an inverted winger type/10..

 

We don’t need 2, but we absolutely need 1.

Abada’s future would seem to be in the middle; otherwise, he just doesn’t (yet) have certain key abilities needed to play the wing. Moffat isn’t at the required standard yet. Needs a loan. Would say similar for Dembele.

That only leaves Maeda, Jota, Forrest and Johnston. Forrest may continue to miss a lot of games. Also, Johnston’s decision making and composure leaves a lot to be desired, but he’s good enough for backup domestically.

Definitely need a RW; preferably a left-footed one.

 

We are definitely weak on the left we have jota when he's fit .If we could get Forrest fit we may be ok on the right but that's a big if after the past year

 

I think that Ange had a convo with the board and said in order to beet the Huns on the 2nd I need two players in immediately Maeda and Hatate and they were trying to have it done for him, we got another * lockdown game cancelled and they said * it let’s announce them any way oh and by the way we have a third coming in ideguchi

so late Christmas or a a new year gift we have 3 new players all will be permanent come summer so what a start to 2022 now we need a good central defender and LB, and Jota and CCV on permanent deals and we have a good crack at getting our treble back,

If we could offload some of the peripheral players then I think that would be one of the best transfer months we have had for a very long time

Maeda. - Mazda
Hatate. - Tattie
Ideguchi - Tam(agotchi)

 

There is no doubt about it Jullien's worst performances for us came against big physical strikers usually of weaker teams. It was strange especially given how well he did against stronger teams.

 

Aye that's what I'd prefer, an inverted lefty on the right..

As a strong left hand side and different types as well..

Forrest who hasn't been right since he's been back
Abada is arguably a number 9 as well

Need a bit more guile on that side..

 

Got a good laugh when you said that would be "good" fairly sizeable understatement there.

 

Fantastic bit of business bringing in these three guys, no messing about.

Maeda looks brilliant from the clips I've seen, I haven't seen much of the two other fellas, the workrate, attitude and professionalism seems to be sky high with Japanese players.

It will be a huge boost for Kyogo as well to have fellow countrymen in the team. Plus huge for Ange to get guys in who know him and are familiar with his system and what he is all about.

Would like us to sign a left back, another CB and a winger.

Need to get rid of deadwood as well, guys like Bolongoli, Barkas, Ajeti, I'd loan out Johnston as well, needs to toughen up and get his finger out of his *.

On paper it seems like we're sorted at winger, but are we?

Forrest- Great player but very injury prone
Johnston - Injury prone and not good enough
Abada - Future lies in the middle imo, not on the wings
Jota - Phenomenal player, but isn't guaranteed to be here come the summer
Moffat - Not ready yet, should go out on loan in the Summer
Dembele - Almost certainly away
Montgomery - Nowhere near good enough
Maeda - Will be our first choice straight away imo

I don't see us signing another winger this January, but I think we 100% need one come Summer, even if Jota signs

 

I honestly think a winger/10 type will be the next priority..

Maeda will play on the wing's but I think he'll be rotated with Kyogo as a number 9 until Giakoumakis is right up to speed. I don't think he'll just be an out and out wide man..
