What the *? How on earth do you lose to Luxembourg at home?

 

Shocking,a manager who has nothing about him,seems to be a trend with teams i follow

 

Right, surely yees have a striker hiding somewhere lads?

 

Disgraceful, absolutely * disgraceful.

And worst of all a manager who is actually bulletproof! Any criticism and you're immediately shot down with tales of how * the football was under Trap & O'Neill. And this guy is doing it the 'right way'.

I'll tell you what, I'd rather watch us play like a Trap and O'Neill team and qualify than lose at home to Luxembourg playing 'football'.

Absolute shocker.

Martin o'neill had done an amazing job with that bunch of players

 

I was switching over so no watching it fully, but Luxembourg were actually pretty decent middle to front. The boy who scored looked good and a handful..

Kenny after looked like a rabbit in the headlights and so nervous. No sure if he always comes across like that?

There's no way that James Collins is better than Idah, Connolly or Obafemi..

Should play the younger player's with pace. That side looked slow and ponderous..

 

Seeing a Irish team line up is enough to put you watching them. Look like such a boring team with average players.

 

Only watched the second half but the result wasn’t undeserved which is mental.

Surely no way Kenny survived that? Must be close to the worst result in their history.

 

Still haven't got over this, truly unacceptable

 

Sadly that is it in a nut shell. Worst Irish squad from a talent perspective since the 1970's IMHO!

It is definitely up there. Off the top of my head we have drawn 0-0 with Lichtenstein in 1996 and got pumped 5-2 by Cyprus in 2006. I think in the late 60's through early 70's we went on a 21 game run without an international win so this current Irish squad is probably the worst since then.

 

No question Travers was poor against Serbia. But in fairness as bad as Ireland are the keeper position is the only one I feel we are going to be fine in. Randolph has been good since he took over full time during the 2016 Euro campaign but he will be 34 come the start of next season so he at most probably has the rest of this campaign as the starter. Under him we have a few good young keepers and the one I would keep an eye on is 19 year Gavan Bazunu I think he will be the future in goal for us.
