Bit of us always not wanting to commit too much, and * thinking once we get ahead the game is won.

I love his endeavour and it was his deflected cross that set up our goal last night but in fairness McClean playing for Celtic at this stage no thanks. That boat has sailed.

In fairness by the dreadful standards of the current squad we did try in the first half we just have very little creative quality and attacking threat coming from midfield or up top. They really pushed us back for most of that second half but we defended well and the response after their goal was very encouraging. On the night in terms of chances created a draw was a fair result and keeps us very much in the hunt. But reality is just as we saw in Denmark we saw again just what a poor side we are right now going forward and how far ahead of us Switzerland are. They and Denmark and clearly better sides then us. But we do have a very decent backline which right now is keeping us alive.
The next game will decide it for me. Tiblisi against Georgia. Somehow we must find a way to win that game. If we do then I think last nights point will really put us in with a shout of causing a surprise and splitting Switzerland and Denmark to grab a qualifying spot.

Anybody seen this player Jayson Molumby before? He looks lethal. Exactly the type of player Celtic needs

Same guy just got MOM. He looks a real talent. I would have him in the senior team asap. Why would we ever look at the likes of Whelan when we have guys like this waiting in the wings? Sort it out Mick!

I watched the Toulon U21 tournament games and he was arguably our best player very commanding in the middle of the park. Looks a good prospect for us a real drive and power to his game.

A good weekend, with the late equaliser and Denmark dropping points we go into the last three games top of the group. I think we'll do it.

That's a great result, but now we've got to go to Georgia and get the win in October.

That is the key for me no question. The Danes only managing a 0-0 draw there this weekend shows how hard it will be. But if we are to qualify for the finals this is the key game and if we can pull out a win then we are in with a real shot at qualification.

4 points from Georgia and Switzerland would be ideal for me and what we should be aiming for. I know it's a tough task. Apparently Xhaka is not gonna play in the October qualifiers and he's one of their better players especially for creating opportunities, no idea what the story is with Shaqiri though. I think Georgia first and foremost is a game we have to be winning if we manage it then it'll ease some of the pressure going to Switzerland knowing that we'll still have a home game vs Denmark to come as well. Also Denmark and Switzerland play each other next so one is definitely dropping points.

No question the next game away to Georgia is now the key game really around which the whole qualifying campaign lives or dies. A win for us and a win for Switzerland on the same night in Denmark would be the perfect scenario I think to set us up with a good chance to qualify.

    Interesting team picked for tonight.

    Travers
    Christie Egan Long Hourihane
    Browne Cullen
    O'Dowda Judge Curtis
    Hogan
Hourihane at left back is a little strange, good to see Egan getting a chance at the back. Hope the midfield and attack especially put in a decent showing.

What’s wrong with Luca Connell? Don’t think I’ve saw him mentioned in the last few u21 squads or am I mistaken?

Our under 21's are doing well, maybe Kenny has the magic tough after all.

That was a superb goal finished off by Collins! It turns out we can play a bit of football. Byrne's done really well too.

    3-1, good stuff.
