People defend O'Neill's style of football with "but look at the limited players at his disposal"- but the way he has Ireland play doesn't suit these players at all. One of the absolute worst teams to watch in high level football.

 

I love the man but he hasn’t moved with the times football wise, he should maybe give it up and stick to the sarcastic punditry.

 

Offt but that’s a bit central goal wise imo!

 

We're just nothing- all running about and blasting long balls to nowhere, but without the players for that. Loved him in his prime, had us playing a fantastic aggressive style even in Europe 2001-2004, but I'm convinced a new manager would make a positive difference for Ireland at this point. I don't agree with the "nobody could do any better anyway" line you sometimes hear.

 

Randolph should have saved that. Shocking goalkeeping.

 

Another manager might get us playing slightly better football but I couldn’t see results being a whole lot better with the current crop of players we have to pick from. It’s easily the worst in the last 30 years.

 

Not even watching us but was hoping we would get a result against that giggs *

 

Trap was supposedly the problem, now MON is the problem. Lads, I'm sorry but we're just *. We just don't produce enough good footballers. This is the worst squad I've ever seen. At least in the past we had Keane, Duff, Dunne, O'Shea, etc who were top level footballers now we don't even have that.

 

It's a whole host of issues, but O'Neill and Keane are as much to blame with boring anti-fitba.

This is different, we genuinely have zero quality and it’s painful to watch.
