There are some positives from today, despite another poor away performance. Firstly, winning when playing badly is always good. More importantly though, Sinclair and Edouard look to be at their best. I think Edouard was a little bit put out by not starting today and, if that's the case, we need to drop him again! Not for Saturday though! Which means the front three pick themselves, with Christie dropping into Rogic's place. Rogic looked off the pace again today, I don't think it is a bad thing that the decision has been taken out of Brendan's hands. It is always tempting to pick him, for obvious reasons, but he isn't right.
The Hibs have set them up nicely to be turned over. If they had hung on today their lunatic hordes would be behind them, an early goal and they could crumble. We have to be careful though. The sloppiness of our play today, the lack of tempo, the slackness from Gordon and Boyata, the fact Izzy looked passed it mean we are capable of beating ourselves. I don't trust Hayes in his proper positions, never mind at full-back. In saying that, he was decent today and looks set to start.
I think Bain has to play. Gordon just doesn't inspire confidence at all. He is always on the verge of another howler.

Brown was poor today, but he loves playing there. He has to start and get in about them. He just needs to move it quicker. We need everything done at pace in midfield though. No extra touches, no turning back or pointless sideways passes. When we zip the ball about and have players running off the ball, no team in Scotland can get close. We did it a few times today when Eddy wanted to show what he can do. Best formation, Eddy and Sinclair in form and the right tempo and attitude and we will win easily.
    Bain
    Lustig Boyata Benkovic KT(hopefully)/ Hayes
    Brown McGregor
    Forrest Christie Sinclair
Eddy( and tell him he's dropped unless he scores 3)

Today's game was a massive result for us, it widened the gap which means they're gonna have to try and come at us.... which means we will destroy their so called defence. Sinclair and Forrest will run riot down the flanks. If we get an early goal they will panic and crumble, cannae wait we're gonna have two Christmas days in one week :giggle1:

Think he’ll go with this assuming no KT

    Gordon
    Lustig Boyata Benkovic Izzy
    Brown
    Christie McGregor
    Forrest Edouard Sinclair
    I’d go

    Bain
    Ralston Boyata Benkovic Hayes
    McGregor
    Ntcham Christie
    Forrest Edouard Sinclair
They’re horrific defensively and don’t have a left hand side. Ralston’s running will have them all over the place.

Hope we turn up and go for it from the very start.

I would play Sinclair through the middle and Edouard on the left.

Has merit, but I personally would like Edouard getting physical with their central defenders.

Feeling pretty confident about the 3 points. We've got this. I still think Aberdeen are a tougher game than these TBH.

Having said that they have improved a lot and (to my genuine surprise), Gerrard so far does seem to be their first ever vaguely competent manager (or, if you include Oldco, their first since Walter Smith all those years ago) and I reckon they might mount an actual challenge next year if they find the money to back him. So I'd like to see us lay down a marker for next season by giving them a really good spanking.

How have they improved? Domestic form is as poor as ever. He's spent a * tonne and still their form is debatable, at best.

Warburton had a better chance of getting closer to us than Gerrard.

They didn't get knocked out by nobodies in the qualifiers.

The group stages, they played teams that are all were midtable or worst in their own domestic leagues. Every club they faced in their group sacked their manager (two, off the top of my head, just before playing them).

That's their success story for this season. And it's December.

    Their progression is hugely debatable.

Still end the year top regardless with a game in hand,in a one off game they always have a chance but we would need to not perform for that to happen.

6 pts with game in hand sounds good, although the purse strings might tighten slightly again.

The ref will no doubt again try to level it up looking at that nonsense today is enough to tell you , but if were good enough on the day we play above it.

Glad to see Sinclair back on form.

Sevco have so many injury worries that they have recruited 4 additional officials to help out. Don't think it will be a high scoring match and as much as i would love to see us pump them and empty the place on the hour mark i feel it could end up a draw.. can't see the ref allowing us to build up a head of steam and i can see them laying into us with brutal challenges in the first 10 minutes with no yellow shown

Was great to see our response when feeling cheated by the Sheep second penalty - i can only hope we produce similar when our players see the ref helping them/cheating us/
