Alfred Hitchcock's 7th film to appear in this Rankdown, as James Stewart seeks out a mysterious
woman seemingly intent on her own destructive end.

From "We're not in Kansas anymore" to "There's no place like home", Dorothy takes a trip down the yellow brick road and the encounters with the inhabitants of Oz, of munchkins, wicked witches to lions and tigers and bear Oh my! on the way and off to see the wizard, the wonderful wizard of Oz!

    "I have a reasonable doubt"

Henry Fonda gives one of his best performances as a jury of 12, trapped with tensions rising and a young man's life on the line.

"Of all the gin joints in all the world why'd she have to walk into mine?"

Such great characters, the chemistry, the performances, the hope, and probably the most quoted script ever written and the beginning of a beautiful friendship, all brought together in this timeless classic.

Undoubtedly one of the greatest Christmas and undisputable feelgood movies ever made, hitting all of Frank Capra's hallmarks of a man who never knew just how much his small life had touched and effected so many people, and just maybe there is hope for that little bit of George Bailey in all of us.

Thanks again to everyone. I'm too tired right now to do all the stats and stuff, so that can wait til tomorrow.

But thanks again to everyone who chipped in with nominations and especially to all those that added your rankings, as well as those that have followed along, even if it was just to add a few likes. Everyone is always welcome to be part of these and it would not be possible without you all, so thanks again! :)

Yes Massive thanks Taz. A quite remarkable amount of true Classic Films. I think that has easily been the strongest Film thread so far and will be very hard to match.
I could happily watch every Film listed:50:

A very strong candidate for GOAT. Full Stop. The End.

Guess we will find that out when eventually we do a GOAT Rankdown, way way way down the line, lol.

My troops and me have this discussion regularly Sean. Do you think James Cagney died a coward in the movie or did he die doing what his old friend asked him to do?
