Conveniently absent from those arrested was the head honcho himself, Blatter...Good fortune or simply a dictator consolidating power by offering up some sacrificial lambs

Some are saying it migh be him.

@skysports_bryan: FIFA latest on #SSNHQ. We have footage of an official escorted out of the Bar au Lac hotel in Zurich behind sheets and into a car.

And by some, I mean people who have no idea and are hoping like the rest of us.

Well, to be accurate, the WC voting investigation is separate and has nothing to do with the FBI/IRS warrant that the FOJ carried out...The OAG is handling that and, tbh, it will be far more interesting than chasing the tax dodgers

Key admission from De Gregorio is that 'it's not a surprise that it happened, just that it happened today'

Serves to support my point/theory that this is about Blatter consolidating power

I actually watched a documentary by Espn two nights ago. Corruption by Fifa. Well worth a watch. Bunch of *. And Blatter just laughs in the face of these allegations. Biggest * of all!

Pardon my ignorance, but what the * has it to do with the USA?

As much as i welcome any investigation into FIFA, i have to ask, if this was an investigation by Cuba or Canada, would the Swiss have been so quick to make these arrests on behalf of the that country, to prepare for extradition?

My gut reaction is that this is an attempt to prevent the World Cup going to Russia, in an underhand way of turning the screw on that country further.
I think they may concede it is too late to change the venue of the next one, so that will give them the excuse to clear Qatar of any wrongdoing!

*, ive been on this forum too long......im making up my own conspiracies!!!:smiley-laughing002:

The crimes were prepared and carried out on US soil and bank handed payments were done through US banks. In layman's terms

    No conspiracy required.
