    As the title states....
We are persisting with a 4 3 3, which is clear as day is not working. Scores, performances, statistics, lack of entertainment all confirm this.

Its a combination, of poor management, mindset, inability or refusal to absord and follow instructions, board not investing and a possible malaise in the dressing room with heads turned elsewhere.

    The question is.........
If you were to select a formation change which clearly is needed. Based on the shower of * we have available what would you select and why?

We could play a 4-6-3 and we'd still be pish. The players are all *, they can barely move, and they can't string 2 passes together

It's going take a lot more than a formation change to sort this shot show out, but for sport I'd go..

3-5-2 (or 3-4-1-2 if you prefer)
Nae feckin wingers stuck out wide - none!

    AJ - CCV - KT
    Engels - Bernardo - Calmac - Hattate
    Nygren
    Tounetki - Iheanacho

I don't think it makes any difference mate, looks like Rodgers has lost the dressing room.

We are winning * all this season under him.

He changed it second half and we had more of the play but barring the disallowed goal we still created * all. The manager can't magic a forward line out of thin air

What I'm more angling at is if we continue to do the same it's going to continue that way we are right now. If we at least change it, what would you chose to try at the very least make you personally entertained and give us the best chance of actually scoring a goal.

Based on what we have now.
I would go with a 442 diamond which can drop into a 4231
Were being over ran in the middle, too far apart to play fast enough through the lines. Gives you a holding and attacking midfielder and 2 strikers.

Get the 2 cms playing wish of 18yrd Box, one fullback on the overlap and one dropping into make it a 5. 2 strikers to press and play off the attacking midfielder.

That's what I would go with. But.... It's Rodgers lol

4-3-3 is pretty staple as a formation. I dont see a problem in playing in it.

The issue for me more lies in how we are trying to play within that.

We have 2 centre backs who are not good in possession, yet we play a system that wants to retain possession nad build from the back. To compensate 2 centre backs who are avergage on the ball we then have McGregor shoe horned into a role to drop deep and try and assist them with moving the ball forward - this has now become ineffective and teams know how to counter it and McGregor is not excelling in the role thats hes playing. A lot of our issues start here. We see a lot of possession but do very little with it. Against better teams, the benefit of playing McGregor there is completely offset by the lack of bite the midfield then has out of possession.

The energy and the tempo in the team isnt great either. We move the ball slowly and safetly as retaining possession is of high priority. It leads to safe passing lacking in penetration and players who lose their edge in terms of attacking quality.

Keeping the same formation, but being prepared to move the ball more quickly, being prepared to give the ball away more but work harder on winning back - this would be perfectly fine.

It's took a couple of years to totally ruin ange's side

Transforming from a fast paced attacking side to a side that doesn't know what it's doing

    Totally on Rodgers

Ange's team was made up with a average players and that played to their strengths

Rodgers side made up with similarly average players and told to play to their weaknesses

Rodgers then Blames the board for not spending all the clubs money on players.

Though to be a bit fairer they could have bought more and better

Think one of our biggest losses has been Taylor and him not helping McGregor

Tierney's not up to playing week in week out and might be * completely

Keeping players beyond sell by date and not having replacements line up maeda and hatate should have been gone by the lack of input from them.

2 central midfielders 2 wingers and 2 up top

Play siracci left back keep playing the young boy rb

Play ccv and trusty and sinsalo in goal

I could Google it but can’t be arsed so someone can put me right if they want but I don’t think the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result etc

The Celtic board aren’t insane they’re just out of touch and don’t really care about what their bread and butter support want- they’re *.

It's hard to change formation too much without dropping wingers as Tounekti is our min threat, wonder if he could play a Lubo style role for us in a 352, KT doesn't have the legs for a full back role and he excels as a lcb
