Defo think it was a step too far too soon for Hatton. Senchenko fought his last fight as WBA Champion, even though he got beat....was always going to be a hard fight. Hatton should've fought a couple of nobody's before taking a fight like this. Solid body shot though, would probably put most fighters down.

I think they will. He was haunted by how he got done by Manny Pacquiao, and simply couldn't let that be the end.

I feel that his performance was fine in last nights fight, and that he can walk away with his head held high.

Hate to say I told you so.

Hatton was a decent boxer but never a great one for me and it was only ever gonna end in tears.

Respect to him for his post-fight interview, that took some guts, take note David Haye.

Had a wee chuckle at Senchenko arriving in a United shirt.

What does a one off fight against top level opposition, 3 and a half years after retiring have to do with how good a boxer Hatton has been?

He was a world class, excellent boxer who was beaten by the 2 P4P kings in the entire world of boxing at any weight class.

This fight was more of a mental hurdle for him to get over personally and hopefully it will put his mind at ease. He should go and enjoy retirement now, he has nothing left to prove to anyone - including himself.

Who said it did? It was my opinion, that's alright isn't it, this being the 'boxing thread' and all that?

Since you brought it up though, process of reasoning would tell you that a boxer 3 and a half years since his last fight and aged 34 will not be as good a boxer as he was previously.

He was never a world-class boxer for me. He had an almighty hook, but lacked the fight intelligence to take out the real world-class fighters. He wasn't just beaten by those guys, he was humiliated.

I've nothing against him, he seems like a good guy and as I've already said in a previous post, it took guts for him to sit in front of the press and say what he did, but he was never a world-class boxer for me and he was only causing himself more anguish by coming back, you see it with so many boxers, look at how Mike Tyson destroyed his reputation towards the end.

There were only 2 boxers capable of beating him at his prime, the 2 widely regarded Pound for Pound boxers in the world at any weight class. Kostya Tszyu was a top level opponent as was Castillo, off the top of my head.

He was 100% a world class boxer, hence the reason he was a world champion.

He was badly found out in both of those fights and made to look a bit silly, neither fight was close and Mani despatched him in 2 rounds. Watch it back, it was quite horrifying to watch him beaten so easily.

Could go on all day but your entitled to your opinion.

A nice guy, brave and a massive hit on him, but not world class for me.
