    Anyone else remember Winston Bogarde, who basically did the exact same thing at Chelsea, milking them £approx £40k pw for 3yrs? The Dutch fullback signed from Ajax, when Vialli was the manager but had no idea of the deal, and Ranieri replaced as manager just a few weeks later wanted him gone almost immediately. None the less, he played a handful of Premier League games that first season, and spent the next 3 years showing up for training and that was it. For those unaware/before their time, that is approx on par with what Keane, Giggs, Scholes, Beckham et al were all on at Man U at the same time.

    Wouldn't argue against it. As fans we would want to see him moved on to free up the wages for someone else, but quite entitled to do what he did, won't hate the guy for that.

    Big Bobo done similar, we wanted rid of him, he didnt want to go, but he was a pro about it, he showed up, trained hard and was always available for selection. Honored his contract to the end.
