    * can’t we just offer and get a deal done… getting * off with how lax it’s been when we should be a LW,LB and GK signed at the very least, seems we’re going backwards hope I’m proved wrong over next few days, but not according to BR latest comments, clubs a joke at times

    Aye if he's officially a free agent, I'd be more than happy to offer him something like a £5 million signing on fee for around £40-45k a week.

    Would fall short of the wages Fenerbache apparently offered, but the high signing on should offset it. We would realistically be able to sell him for £15 million+ after 2 seasons as well.

    I doubt we get him, but I also don't believe reports Napoli are after him, they'll be targeting much higher.

    Tricky thing about that is the player will want to leave to get higher wages. Maybe we could offer something like a £4m sign on and another £4m if he sees out a full 3 years of his contract with us.

    Apparently we're in for Mateji Lovar young man utd goalie who was a league winner in Czech with Spara Prague when on loan last season...only 22 yrs old.

    I don’t think we should be offering huge signing on fees to be honest.

    A small chunk to sweeten the deal and a salary we think is fair. Leave it on the table and move on to other targets.

    What if we stick £5m down, a big salary and the guy just runs his contract down and * off again for another big signing on fee?

    I know we all want good players in but we need to be sensible with our money too.
