He is an unreal artist mate. When he covers a song he nails it everytime, very few out there can do that.

You can see the emotion in every word on his face as he sings it. You can’t beat live music. He literally goes from hurt to anger to despair to hope in every * verse.

He’s a master at that mate. Not sure if you like Linkin Park but his cover of Crawling that I posted above is class. Every single word is full of emotion.

I’ve heard it before mate. I’m of the mind that pure emotion can’t show unless you actually wrote the song. It’s why I never like a Bob Dylan cover more than the original. There is something that the composer can add that no one else can and that’s the emotion the composer felt when writing it. Some singers can love the song and put their own spin on it. I don’t think they can recreate the feeling the writer felt that early hours when they wrote it though.

I couldn’t imagine anyone else putting the emotion into this song than Jake.

He wasn’t a veteran funnily enough but this is a self reflection of a song due to alcohol. This whole album was an autobiography. He framed it as a veteran returning from the war. It was really him returning from the darkness of alcohol.

If you like this then the album is called ‘Shadows, Greys and Evil Ways’. Well worth a listen as a story.

One of my favourite White Buffalo songs. Mostly real but a sprinkling of hope.

    Next year. Maybe.
