He's in London talking to West Brom at the moment.

Kinda thought he was leaving us to be nearer home or to actually go home. Why did he leave then? He’s still got loads to offer

Yeah I thought that as well but maybe he just needs football as soon as possible due to world cup.

Smaller club but Championship is a good standard league, better than SPFL lets face it and if he is ready to get back to it and wants to make the world cup squad then it's a good move. If he clicks with Steve Bruce and he is in a good head space then won't be suprised if he gets them up that table challenging for promotion. 6 draws for West Brom so far this season, won't be happening on Tam's watch once he gets going.

I'm just happy I will get to keep watching him play. Had prepared myself for him giving up completely.

Tom's done more than enough for us to be able to do whatever he wants with his career, but dear * why would you want to go to the midlands to work with Steve Bruce? :giggle1: Surely he had better or more lucrative offers.

We know he had personal issues that stopped him playing for the Socceroos in the summer so maybe offers just didn't come at the right time for him. Life happens that way sometimes.

You're probably right, he has the right combination of physicality and technical ability to absolutely * the Championship anyway whenever he gets back up to speed. As others have said, at least it means we can still watch him.

Let’s be honest he wasn’t getting in our team this year. Not with the intensity we play at now. He’s a great player and was a great servant.

If the infinitely less skilled David Turnbull can get minutes this season, Matt O'Riley who for only being 21 is like a burst couch after 65mins and Aaron Mooy who has the fitness levels of my Aunty Moira can all get in the team then Tam would absolutely still be getting games for us. Easily.

I will endlessly slag off Mooy until the day it stops rattling Australians on here :giggle1: but his job in the team is completely different from what Rogic's was to be fair. They're not remotely interchangeable. Turnbull is the better comparison but I think he's going to play very few minutes this year as a starter now. He currently just comes on to see games out and especially with the new lad we've just signed we've a lot of other players who can fill that role.

Disappointed he is going to West Brom, you could have come home to Paradise Tom, granted you wouldn’t have got the game time as last season but the love of the faithful would have encouraged you during your game time.

Surplus to requirements here I reckon. Not got the mobility to allow us to kick on as Ange has envisioned.

Agreed. Mooy is the much more mobile option.

He gave us his best years during almost a decade of service.

How can anyone begrudge him going elsewhere?
