One of the worst grass pitches we’ve played on in the modern game and he was still a few classes above everyone else…

Glad he’s stepping up again because his play is exactly what we’ve been missing for quite a while.

We'd be absolutely * without him.

One of our most important players in the squad by a considerable distance.

Lol, it’s not just the assists though, he plays so many of the balls that lead to the assist. When he’s on there’s no better in Scotland.

Looks to be getting better and better. Crazy that this time last year it looked like he was finishing up his career here.

    Ran the show today.

Seriously, over the past month or so without doubt we would be in a world of absolute hurt without Tom Rogic.

With so many players out, and we've needed someone to step up and really noone has consistently, it has been so many times that Rogic has been the difference in so many games.

6 of the last 7 games he has produced the game defining moments and got us the win. That's insane! :notworthy

I'm struggling to think of a run of games where a single player has been so fundamentally important to the team getting over the line. To win so many consecutive gmaes by close margins with so many others have been out, as we have been, largely thanks to one guy providing that bit of class is nuts! Absolutely clutch!

Yes, football is a team game, 100%, and others have contributed in defence or Hart with a crucial save, but with so many attacking options that we've been coping without and to keep winning, it's a pretty remarkabke run. Just going over the highlights...

    • 2 assists today. When St J threatened to get back into the game, who stepped up? How many times was he involved in the build up for the Bitton goal, that's taking a game by the scruff of the neck! 3-1
    • Yeah, we didn't win at St Mirren but even in that game he created a few openings for others who put it wide, or at the keeper. And even then to have one game in a month plus where a goal hasn't come from him being involved. Maybe if he had his shooting boots, but he was still probably the most likely to produce. 0-0
    • LC Final v Hibs, played some sublime football, had the vision and precision for Kyogo's winner! 2-1
    • Ross Co, when all hope looked done, that inch perfect chipped cross for Ralston to score late on for the winner. And again, all through that game was sublime. 2-1
    • Scored the only goal v Motherwell, 1-0
    • Scored GOTS contender v DUTD and completely ran the show. 3-1
    • Threaded through that inch perfect through ball for Ralston to run onto, who then squared for Kyogo to score the only goal. 1-0
Prior to that he was out with the hamstring, but before being out he was in top form then as well.

Commons in his 32 goal season, pretty sure he scored something like 15 goals in a row that were either the winner or opening goal but I’m sketchy on that, there was some sort of stat like that.

I remember that run you're talking about, but there were games in that run where we were winning by 3 or 4 goal margins IIRC so it wasn't just the Commons being the difference between winning and drawing. In the sequence you're referring to, (went back and double checked) there were 9 games where Celtic won by at least 3+ goal margins, which underlines that it wasn't just Commons that was really being relied upon, and we were not dealing with anywhere near as many injuries and other absences like we are now, when compared to the way that we have been on Rogic atm.

Not to take anything away from Commons and his contribution at that time, but my point is, we also had Hooper and Stokes firing goals, Mulgrew firing freekicks etc

That 32 goal season was when Hooper left and he stepped up as probably our main striker because we failed to replace him. Going from memory but was one of those, especially the first 6 months until Griffiths came in, if Commons wasn’t involved in it, we weren’t scoring. Also had a period of European games under Ronny he either scored or assisted every goal in Europe.

I hate that he’s a pure boaby of a guy now. So Rogic it is :56:

Oh sorry, I mixed up with the seaosn when he first joined and that second half of the 2010/11 season was what I was thinking of. My bad. I do remember the run you are talking about though and it is a good shout, would have to go back to check the exact figures on that one, lol.

Even still, it's pretty nuts what Rogic has done/is doing this season! lol
