Slowest player in football

 

Was an absolute man down, nowhere near match sharpness. Worrying Lennon put him on when he did in such a game. really had a negative effect on the performance of the team.

 

Agreed, not the type of player to go straight into a frenetic pace at the best of times never mind after weeks of absence.

 

While totally agree was not near match fit, I can understand why he was brought on.

We were very sloppy in the second half prior to his comh and think he was going to come on being 1-0 up, instead of being 1-1. Ntcham had been hardly covering himself in glory and likewise was running out of legs as he was only marginally further along in being match fit. And really, we were not making the most of being a man up. There was no way could have anticipated Tierney and Boyata both having to go off with knocks and Lustig was also struggling.

I would also strongly disagree that he was the cause and had a negative effect on the performance - it was all hands to the pumps - everyone was rattled (except for Ajer, who was fantastic, and Eddy, who had been top notch first half and while shut out of the game at that point he is such a big game player to set up the second goal) as the majority of the team was at a bit of a scramble - frantic and scrappy.

So had that not happened, clearly the idea was to make more advantage of being a man up, by having Rogic pull the strings on the edge of the area where he is at his best, instead of having the legs to run the middle of the pitch engine room. Not to take away from Rogic's quality or Lenny's decision to bring him on, for that matter. If anything, think perhaps the decision to take Hayes off at the break was a little premature, especially in hindsight.

 

Never fit enough today . Poor decision from Lennon .

 

I just couldn't understand why he didn't put on a quicker player.

 

Mental decision from Lenny to put him on. Nowhere near ready.

 

My point being he never had anywhere near the level of fitness required to do any of the aforementioned. He lost the ball too much and didnt have the legs. Bitton or even young Henderson would have been a better sub.

 

clearly not fit, why we didnt bring burke or weah on i'll never know.

 

Should have been nowhere near that team today. My knees * and not played football in years and I would have been a better option

 

Burke or Weah would have been a far better choice to come on, instead of Rogic.

 

I felt kinda sorry for him. He's such an exceptional player, but it takes him an age to come back from injuries. When we were flying a couple of months ago it coincided with him being at the top of his game. He will be flying just before the end of the season only for the break to come.
