    Tom on today's win

This is special - at home in front of friends and family! We always thought we could get the job done!"

"I missed the last one through injury but that seems like a world away now. I'm just really proud to represent my country and I have a World Cup to now look forward to!"

If anyone deserves it it is this playing group and this staff. We got our rewards today!"

We are situated all around the world and when we come here we have that pride of representing the whole of Australia. It's hard to put it into words."

    Yasss on yersel Rogic.

Are Rogic, Lustig, Boyata and Gamboa the only representatives of Celtic at the World Cup this time? Always a chance Sviatchenko might get a Denmark call up as well.

And aside from Izzy I can't really say I'll miss Honduras at the WC. Every time I saw them in 2014 they were kicking folk off the park.

Brendan might give him some time off once the league is wrapped up.

Tom Rogic - one of the second-half game changers for the Caltex Socceroos - is relishing the chance to go to a first World Cup after his heartbreak of Brazil 2014.

Back then, Rogic's chances of playing in a World Cup in the South American nation were cruelled by injury, with the Celtic midfielder going to Brazil but failing to make the final cut for Ange Postecoglou's squad.

Now, after his exciting second half helped break Honduras' resistance on Wednesday night, his World Cup redemption is just over seven months away following Australia's 3-1 win in their intercontinental playoff.

"Obviously missed the last one [World Cup] through injury but that seems like a world away now," he told Fox Sports with a big smile.

"I'm really proud to represent my country in front of my family and friends. And to have a World Cup to look forward to."

It was Rogic's brilliant burst into the heart of Honduras' defence that won Australia the free kick that cracked open the contest just after the break.

"It's been long... and very hard," Rogic said when asked about the epic 22-game qualification campaign.

"We're situated all around the world. You have that pride of representing the whole of Australia. It's hard to put into words.

"I feel we got nothing less than we deserve," he added.

    "We got our rewards today."

Most overrated player in our team.

The amount of * performances he gets away with is laughable.

    He was * poor..

So slow. Movement. On the ball. Reacting to situations opening up..

Expected so much more but that is nowhere near good enough..

Beautiful Sunday - the IRA version
    Very poor tonight.

Couldn't understand it as usually he receives the ball so well, but just seemed like Bambi on ice for the most part.
