T in the Park 2009 & Oxegen 2009

Didn't take a camera but I'll start a thread later when my friend uploads his to facebook.

 

How good were blur ! what a weekend, thought the killers were amazing, but blur where on another level.

 

Blur were good. Best band of the weekend for me were The View.

 

Was gutted a missed The Streets tent was full when a went sat outside for it but

 

I missed The Streets too. They were on at the same time as Pete Doherty so I went to see him. I've seen The Streets before though, they're good live.

 

I've seen there before too.

Anybody go see the Courteeners . I thought the were amazing

 

I caught the end of their set after Yeah Yeah Yeahs and thought they sounded quite good. Didn't see enough of them to really enjoy it though.

 

Class weekend. The view were bouncing!!! went and ween pete doherty, the specials and the killers to all class.

Got back from Oxegen yesterday in a very hungover, sleep deprieved state. But after the best nights sleep of my life, looking back at it, it was a fantastic weekend. The only thing that spoilt it was the weather, I don't know what it was like at T but it * down all weekend here. My tent was * and everything got really muddy but we didn't let it ruin the weekend. Music wise I thought The Killers, Blur, Snow Patrol and The Specials were amazing. I also really enjoyed Regina Spektor, Carolina Liar, The Script and Iglu and Hartley. Was a bit gutted that I didn't get to see more of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs but it was just * down when they were on and nobody was really in the mood so we only stayed for a few songs. The rain also totally messed up the sound quality on the main stage on Saturday. The YYYs had to do a few tracks acoustically instead.

 

Ive been to the last 3 oxegens and im telling you this year was the best by far weatherwise. you should of seen it in 07, it was like a work out just walking around the campsite.

Apart from the bands you mentioned im going to have to throw in jason mraz and Katy perry( she said we were a better crowd than the scots aswell)

P.S The View said "You're the best * crowd in the world. I mean that."

 

A lot of people I spoke to said the weather was great last year...

it was better than 07 but I still thought this year was better, apart from saturday and about 10 mins of sunday, it was fairly nice.The weather was lovely for the Headliners of each night.

What a weekend that was at T in the Park. That is me finally just recovered from it !! We arrived down there about half one on the friday and there was the smallest of queues compared to last year. Got a decent spot in yellow one, happy days. Highlights over the weekend for me were Razorlight, Blur, Felix Da Housecat, 2 many Djs, Pendulum and Boys Noize. Weather was excellent apart from the rain sunday morning but that didnt take too long to clear up. Tickets are already booked for next year, roll on !

 

Looked amazing, hopefully going next year !

 

Did anyone else buy early bird tickets for next year ? I bought a couple but I seen thay must have been struggling to sell them as they extended the deadline to buy them twice 1st the wednesday then the sunday.

 

Silly to buy tickets before the line up is announced.
