I think our Club should pay for a vaccine for everyone who paid for a season ticket this year.

Get the stadium full of fans. The club go on about how much they are missing the support... well prove it.

Source the vaccines, get supporters in the ground. NO EXCUSES

Celtic FC need to lead the way on this. Cant wait on government to help fans get back into grounds.

I can't tell if you're joking but I kind of get the impression you're serious.
    A) why should they when the NHS will pay for it? Any coming into the country should be for NHS not a * football club.
    B) not everyone would take it
    C) no guarantee that would allow the club to fill stadiums anyway.

I suppose it is a good idea,
only drawback I can see is, if French eddy was giving you the jab, he'd probably miss your arm going by his current form.

With fan ownership serious ideas like this would be addressed and not laughed at ...

The responses on this thread suggest otherwise, mate. Besides, although it's a dumb idea, it's always best to explain to people why they are wrong rather than laughing at them (and to acknowledge that we all come up with daft ideas sometimes, including experts).

This kind of attitude where you ridicule people for being wrong is exactly how you end up with Trump and Brexit.

Celtic paying for our fans to jump the queue for vaccination ahead of the elderly and vulnerable would lead to people dying who don't need to die, would be a PR disaster and would be a complete betrayal of what the club was founded for.

    Edit: plus what @Westlondonscot said.

    Eh :giggle1:

Sometimes the only solution is to make people realise how stupid they’ve been.

At least then it’ll make them think.

    A) Correct, any coming into the country on Gov money should be for NHS, i was talking about sourcing extra not taking the ones from gov

    B) Then those not taking it wont get into the stadium

    C) Correct, but the gov would need to give a good reason why not or if vaccine is no guarantee then why is gov backing them.

I am (half) serious.. but the board asking for unity etc, Lenny saying how much missing crowds is affecting us then why can't the club take the lead in using the season ticket money to source vaccines for those who want to get back to watching the team?

have answered @Westlondonscot and the club sourcing its own vaccines would mean no alteration to the queue .. might even reduce it . PR? maybe , maybe not.. and the PLC board care more about their bonus than the poor and the needy.

I can see the Gov introducing such rules for events.. needing a vaccine cert to enter places ( Qantas already considering it ) so might as well get ahead of the situation. I don't attend matches due to location but if fans want back into stadium en masse then something radical is needed because at this rate stadiums are going to remain empty ( and other clubs must be worse off than we are )

Yeah there are downsides to getting our fans vaccines but there are also downsides in not doing anything to getting football back to normalisation.

I am lucky enough to live in a country where everything is normal except some people wear masks (40% id guess) there have been around 3,700 Covid cases and about 60 deaths. I guess your situation is very different but if Covid is so serious then why do they tell infected people to go home and isolate instead of intensive care and medicate?

If you wait on the gov to get fans back into stadiums then you will be waiting a long time

So we would need to agree to the PLC that no one trusts injecting us with RNA that hasn't been through proper testing to watch Kilmala run about. Can I just get my ST money refunded instead.
