He has definitely improved as a player but flatters to deceive and as I've said since the start... is not the level of player that is going to take us where we want to go. Great in the SPL, I'm sure some stupid Championship or lower EPL club will happily * 5-6m on him. Offload and replace with better.

He was abysmal. Honestly didn’t look like he was trying.

    Nonsense.

    He was clearly trying.

He just was far from being good enough.

If you're more suited to European football than you are SPFL football then you're a much better player..

Ntcham is a much better player. Even his corners are a godsend compared to Armstrong's. Instantly finds space. Instantly making purposeful, penetrative passes. Instantly going in for 50/50's and winning them as well as winning some of Broony's blindside..

Armstrong doesn't have much more than legs and energy in European football and 9 time's out of 10 that isn't enough. I've stuck up for him but that's one too many for me. He'll be gone in January for sure..

Didn't even have that tonight. He was painfully slow in everything he did.

One of the worst performances I’ve seen from a Celtic player..basically gave up towards the end of the first half, far too soft and never tries to win the ball back..get shut and get McGinn in to replace him, a player with a bit of desire and balls about him

It's not just Armstrong though a lot of our top players are off the boil this season Sinclair, even Moussa hasn't hit his form from last season it's a concern

Aye he was anonymous. Hiding for passes that were on in my opinion..

Armstrong, Griff, Sinclair, Dembele, Rogic....they've all been poor in comparison to last season.

Like loads of others, I've been watching his basic skills such as receiving a pass or playing an accurate 5 yarder get worse game by game and then he pops up and does something wonderful and he gets a wee reprieve in my head but I agree that he may be better going somewhere else if his hearts not in it at Celtic.......but like a few before him, he'll realise what he had here isn't easy to replicate....maybe it's all about the wages for some guys.

He is nowhere near the level of player we were seeing week in week out last season.
    Not just talking about tonight.
He isn’t the only one I must admit.

A lot of times this season he hasn’t even been able to make a simple 5 yard pass with out giving it away or putting it out of the park.

Not just talking about in the champions league but even domestically he has looked miles of the pace at times.

If he really wants to get a move down south he isn’t going the right way about it.

Deserves a prolonged spell on the bench imo until he starts showing the desire and quality he was showing last season.

McGregor, Ntcham, Rogic and Kouassi are well ahead of him at the moment.

Ntcham will probably play brilliant domestically then Armstrong will be named in the starting XI for our EL knock out tie v Arsenal.

Think we done good getting the contract extension, but time to offload.

Clearly wanted a move out and is proving he isnt the same player we saw second half last season.
Ntcham miles better. Move him on and vring mcginn in as back up in January. Eboue to step it up as well.

Anything bids north of £4million we should bite their hand off.

    1. Doesn't want to commit long-term to us

    2. Isn't good enough to play long-term for us

Rest him now so he doesn’t get injured before the transfer window

Hindsight but we should've taken the reported 10 odd mill instead of offering him another year..

Might be wrong but can't remember anything he's done that's been special this season? Jog my memory..
