I've read a few places saying that we're keen on this lad. The Daily Record have him listed as having "attracted a lot of attention. Celtic seem keen on him in particular".

This would be a solid signing in my opinion.

    Been linked before.

Think he'd be a fantastic signing.

Reminds me of the late Phil O'Donnell with his power and running.

    I'd be delighted with him.

It'll come down to what United want for him I guess. His contract with them runs until June of 2016, so they'll not be in any hurry to punt him.

Would love him here, really would.

But surely the board must be prioritising a striker, lb and cb.

Can't see us moving for him but I'd be happy if we signed him.

Would love to get him signed here, think he is the kind of mid-fielder Ronny would really like.

Hope if he does come we get the finger out for s striker and another centerback.

Ive said for a while now he is a quality player. Out of all the players Dundee United had last season, he was the one that I thought would be the best player to go for.

United will want around £2 million for him i would imagine, maybe a bit more.

Get him signed, he's a better version of Johansen.

Plus he's Scottish and will run through brick walls for us.

Agreed, striker is most definitely the priority.

    How much is he worth?

We'll probably offer them something embarrassingly low.

Would have the boy in a heart beat, get him in and get that Johansen out, but I think Ronny will never drop him.

DUTD would probably part with him for £1.5m, they aren't really in a position to bargain.

Would love to have Armstrong in a Hoops jersey by the end of tonight, would really be a terrific signing! When you look at our midfield, it's just nothing whatsoever, no creativity in it...which Armstrong would provide in abundance I would think, also has great power as well.

No doubt Peter Profit will offer Utd about 600K though..

That's probably too much for us :smiley-laughing002:

Lawwell will test the water with 100,000 grand over 10 years plus £2 for every appearance he makes.

I know, but can a club like Dundee United really afford to turn down £1.5m for a guy that they brought through their youth system?

That kind of money could be used to improve their training facilities etc, and possibly bring through another load of young talent in the years to come.
