The fact that we have been outplayed in two out of the three games against them this season.

Because we have not outplayed the Huns in a game since September last year is the long and short of it.

Yet have won 2 of the 3.

What have the results been in meaningful games?

Far too much emphasis being placed on the fact they’ve won a single game against us away from home in a decade.

The concerning thing will be if we don’t bounce back from that result in January and start another winning run.

Anyone who would be unconcerned by that scenario, given recent performances against them, is naïve in the extreme.

Anyone who should be concerned about that scenario, given Celtic have won every trophy available to us in 3 and a half years, is allowing the attempts to demean our clubs achievements from every angle to filter the reality.

We should have no concerns going into a game against the manks having to win. Paradise, Ibrokes or Hampden.

    Blind optimism leads to complacency.

I still think we'll win it but I can see why people would be concerned..

That's the first time I've seen our players looking hesitant and worried from the off on our home ground against them..

Which is pretty alarming after our close shave in the final a few week's before..

Well I’m factoring in those games in the run-in to March too. I don’t think either of us will drop many points in the run-up to the next Derby game but I think we are more likely to drop some due to our tougher fixture list.

If they are ahead by 2 or 3 points (if they win their game in hand) going into that Derby game then we put ourselves in a very pressured situation. Especially since we have gone missing in many games against them in the last year.

The major positive is that are experienced at grinding out results but without good performances, I feel that we could be running that well dry.

We've got more ability in our team than they do, that's for sure, that's not my main concern though.

Completing ignoring our two most recent performances against them is wilful ignorance.

    Who’s completely ignoring anything?

If we need to go to their midden and need a win I’m confident that’s exactly what we’ll go and get.

I’m certain the majority of Celtic fans will be in the same boat.

You can be confident, or optimistic, and still have some concerns.

    You said:

If people at the club have that attitude, I would be unsurprised to see us outfought and outplayed by them for a third time this season, with potentially disastrous consequences.

A mixture of complacency after winning so many titles and the two recent games against them my concerns about Lenny before he was given the job permanently are starting to resurface a bit.

We have ‘concerns’ about every single game we play if that’s the case, I didn’t realise we were lowering the tone to petty.

Lennys first window was excellent, this one has the feeling of very important..

The difference this season as the others are pretty poor and the Huns are organised and hard to beat, they've proven that in Europe..

The race is real this season and they have the momentum..

We know we have the character and the quality, just feel it's time to flex our financial muscle and get that extra quality in.
