He showed ability last year, too. A vital player for a high line system. Sees the danger and clears it like a veteran.

This guy is a real talent. Reads the game and uses the ball really well.
From a coaching perspective, if he wants to really kick on, he needs to lose the ‘flying in’ and study and be more patient like a Maldini, Van Dijk or Cannovaro.

It resulted in a needless free kick conceded tonight, which (Yes Barkas was *) cost us a goal.
That impetuous streak, and flying in unconditionally, will I regretfully believe lead to possible injuries and further heartbreak in future.

Brilliant start to the young guys career though, very promising.

Mad that some in here didn't have him in their starting XI. He's probably our best defender and thought he was hard done by for their goal

Only ever saw him have 1 game

Great tonight, albeit a bit naive for their goal.

I think he's a good backup but I'm still not sold on him being a first choice.

Watery free. Reminded me of Paul McGrath tonight. Sensational performance.

No naivety at all, took the ball as clean as a whistle.

Also bailed McGregor out around the 25 mins mark with a massive tackle after he lost possession 40 yards out from our goal.

Played very well. Some great tackles and reading of the game at times.

With experience, he could become an excellent centre half for us.

And what a tackle it was.

Last season he was more a stand on his feet and win through his positioning (which he done majorly tonight as well) wonder if it’s an Ange style of defending?

Could be, he likes to play an aggressive style so there's every chance.

Might also just be down to feeling more settled now he's had a run of games. It was madness how long it took Lennon to finally put him in, when the alternatives were toiling in games.

With a strong no.1, 2 solid full backs and an experienced CB in beside (Starfelt?) I think we'll see even more improvement in his game.

Wrote him off but he was excellent tonight tbf , put himself about and was composed enough on the ball for someone his age , said in another thread its a pity he couldnt get another few inches of height as it would make some difference at set pieces etc

He’s 6’2/6’3, according to wiki/transfermarkt and my eyeballs. How big do you want him to be?
