I'd bin them all apart from McGregor and James Forrest. Not particularly realistic, but this squad is rotten to the core. Lennon is crap but the attitude of most of these wage thiefs is a disgrace.

Disease has set in - everyone’s infected by it.

There’s a strong argument to sell up lock-stock and start again.

The size of the rebuild needed gives me the fear.

Frimpong's already away. Edouard, Ajer and Ntcham all certain to leave in the summer. Christie (hopefully) and Rogic will likely be away. Think McGregor might think this is his last chance to move on to a good standard of club in England or Europe. Moi's loan ends and he's our top scorer. I'm highly sceptical that if a new manager comes in that he would want to keep someone like Griffiths around. None of the 3 keepers are up to the required standard. Brown should retire.

We need the youth players to step up big time and even then we'd need to sign about 8 players at least. A sensible manager would be using these 3 months of meaningless games to blood in young players 1 or 2 at a time to see if they can make the step up next year but our manager continues to play Duffy , who won't be here next year and is utter dog meat, ahead of Welsh so I have no hopes of that actually happening.

    Keep:
    GoalKeeper - Barkas
Defender - Julien, Ajer, Welsh, Taylor, Elhamed
Midfielder - Soro, Turnbull, Rogic, Mikey, Connell, McGregor, Forrest, Henderson
    Striker - Ajeti, Klimala

    Sell/Release:
    GoalKeeper - Bain, Hazard
Defender - Duffy, Ralston, Laxalt, O'Connor, Boli, Hendry, Gutman, perez
Midfielder - Bitton, Brown, Christie, Ntcham, Ely, Shved
    Striker - Griffiths, Edouard, Bayo

    Promote up:
    GoalKeeper - Doohan
    Defender - Hjelde
    Midfielder - Robertson, Dembele
    Striker - Afolabi

Other youth players need loaned out and or kept where they are and a proper coaching team to develop them on and if there is still no * dev league get them setup in mini tournaments every other week.
I would love to Keep Dembele, really wish he would be open to staying.

As per always, we can only have a 25 man squad for Europe, so we should be aiming to utilise that with as good a calibre as we can with some of them being fringe players and also a few extra scattered in for cup games etc.

    Going forward we would need...

    Required:
Goalkeeper - Backup to challenge Barkas for the number one spot. NOT an actual backup calibre keeper like Bain or Zaluska was, but someone of the same pedigree as Barkas at leas to properly push each other, work with each other to be the best at the club.
Defender - Basically we have enough to make a starting backline, we however need more. If Elhames stays we need a RB to push him and a LB to literally be the number one LB in the club/country. Also need 2 more CB, if Hjelde does well at County this half of the season I would be open to keeping him around the first team and just going for 1 CB of the Julien/Ajer calibre. Giving us Julien, Ajer, A.Nother, Welsh, Hjelde.
Midfielder - Soro, Turnbull, McGregor is the midfield three we should build around, backup to them should be Connell, Henderson and Robertson. However they are not all ready to be featuring as much as they would be needed, so another in of a Ntcham calibre when he first signed. Loan out Henderson if that happens.
Striker - Afolabi to be 4th choice, Ajeti and Klimala have shown enough that they can play for us, but we need to replace the top end striker of Dembele and Edouard. giving us 1 world class striker (relative) 2 squad and more than capable and a prospect.
Wide players - assuming a new manager likes the idea of 2 up top and 3 in the middle, we don't NEED wide men, but Forrest, Dembele and Mikey can provide that. Rogic is your number 10, with option of Dembele, Mikey, Robertson, Turnbull all able to fill in.

    All in - Gk x1, CB x2, RB x1, LB x1, CM x1, ST x 1

Can't see us bringing that many in, but it would be nice. Outgoing from above could see £40million come in the door though. Not the wildest notion to ask for that to be spent on 7 players to come in - average £5-6million a player purchased, but with wages saved from the 19 to be chucked out the door, the club would still be in an overall profit on player transactions.
A signal of intent like that with a DoF and a proper coaching setup (no 3 guys and a laptop), with new kit hype etc and a proposed date of fans returning to stadium, you would get some good faith back from the fans and people willing to buy in to it again.

Failure to make these sort of changes, or attempt them with some serious evidence of doing so, will see the fans withdraw financial support and * any chance of streamlining the football department while bettering it.

Look, I've shat one most of the squad of late. Especially the new signings this season (Barkas especially)

However, with a manager who gives a *, has some professional standards, fresh modern ideas and a brain for football tactics. This squad in theory needs very little done to it.

That is of course assuming we actually don't have a large an exodus as we all think we will.

These three were the catalyst in December, surely if we have learnt anything from Lennon being manager, is he destroys any sense of ability and play in a player.

I'd back these three for the future with a decent manager in charge, happily.

Forrest ??? Why ? his frailty ( to put it kindly) is part of the problem. Last played .... ?

He has played 400 ( usually half hearted ) minutes this season at 2000 quid a minute

Scott Brown is pilloried but this passenger gets a free ride. No guts, no heart.

    Brown is done.

The rest have all proved themselves to be unreliable shitebags. The attitude of many of them has been * unforgivable this season. I dont give a * if we had Neil Lennon or Pep Guardiola as manager these cowardly * have let us down big time. They are all professional footballers and grown adults, for people to let them hide behind Neil Lennon and blame it all on the manager is * ridiculous.

The word 'overhaul' is used on here on a regular basis; overhaul the board, the youth system, the coaching staff, the squad. The latter is one thing that is very rarely overhauled, by Celtic or any other club. With that in mind, here's what I think our squad is likely to look like nest season, given that certain players definitely want away:

    GK:
    Barkas
    Hazard
    Possible new signing

    RB:
    New signing
    Lee O'Connor

    CB:
    Jullien
Ajer (may very well leave, but don't be surprised if he sticks about for another season)
    Welsh
    New signing

    LB:
    Taylor
    New signing

    CM:
    McGregor
    Turnbull
    Soro
    Hopefully a new signing
    Bitton (for his versatility)
    Connell
Brown (just to have him around, maybe in a player-coach role)

    WINGERS:
    Forrest
    MJ
New signing (Sinclair type signing hopefully)
    Shved (maybe...)

    STRIKERS:
    Ajeti
    Griff
Klimala (would loan to a top flight side)
    New signing

That's six or seven new signings. Some will probably be loans. Most will hopefully improve the starting XI. I expect those who stay to improve drastically under a new manager, provided we appoint someone fit for the job (i.e. not John Kennedy).

Fine and well saying get rid of this, that the other but, we have put the likes of Barkas, Taylor etc. on long contract's, so we are saddled with these rejects.

Think we need to retain a core but build upon it

    Keep:
GoalKeeper - Hazard (develop but need a new #1)
Defender - Julien, Ajer, Welsh, Taylor
Midfielder - Soro, Turnbull, Christie, Johnston, McGregor, Forrest, Henderson, Ely
    Striker - Ajeti, Klimala, Griffiths

    Pretty much agree other than:

Ely will be gone surely? Probably Ajer too. I'd add Robertson and Ralston to have something known to build from and take it from there.

I like Griff but I think his time is up here too.
