We're not keeping Ajer unfortunately.

Would happily get rid of Barkas, an utter dumpling on par with Rafael *.

 

As long as the manager is in the 'Out' column, I'm a bit more optimistic about the future.

 

Hard to argue with the OP list, but it would be a massive overhaul - one that is needed - that we won't see happen unfortunately.


I will say though, get Brown to * even as a coach. I am done completely with giving out free jobs just because.
Go get his badges and prove something, be that as an U18 coach here, or * off somewhere else to get some experience. I am sick of guys like Kennedy just getting a job for the sake of it and watching them be utter *.

 

Aye i can't see us holding onto Ajer, he's been the best performing out of all our "assets" this season.

McGregor, at his age might see it as his last chance at a big move having achieved all he can, especially if he has a decent Euro's.. unless the captaincy is enough to keep him(which i don't think suits him)

Plus we'll probably be needing about the same amount of new staff in as we do players.

If the players were still at there peak of 2 years ago, the money we would have been bringing in would have made a rebuild a lot easier and of a higher standard, going to be an interesting summer to say the least.

 

Included Ajer in ‘keep’ because the Milan talk has cooled down. I’d be throwing a decent amount of cash at him to extend his contract and make him vice captain.

With an experienced CB beside him, he could go up another level.

 

Barkas needs more time?

 

Can't argue with most of your choices apart from Barkas who doesn't have the attributes required of a GK such as saving the actual ball, good positioning, coming out for crosses and talk to his defenders in front of him etc. I would also keep both Henderson and Welsh here and give them more opportunities and, unfortunately, I think Ajer will be gone. It is obviously going to be a massive task for whoever comes in to manage us.

 

Think McGregor will be gone in the summer too. Potential team for first game next season

We are gonna have to go through building a new team and I'd rather we done it quicker than trying to continue to paper over the cracks. Frimpong and O'Connor to compete next season for RB.. Lennon has really ruined the first team squad and young players from top to bottom

Would love to keep Ajer but can’t see it. So sell Ajer, Eddy, Ntcham, Christie, Elhamed, Bain. Brown should retire or go to Australia if he’s still keen on that.

Keep Julien, Barkas, Forrest, Griffiths, Ajeti, Soro, McGrgegor, Turnball, Frimpong, Johnstone, Taylor (decent back up) Loan out Klimala, Welsh and a few other fringe players.

Bitton & Rogic I don’t mind if they stay or go.

Would agree with most of your list, although I would keep Griffiths, think Ajer will go and would give barkas away for free if that's what it took to get rid (never a goalkeeper in there)

 

When you realise the size of the rebuild, it’s unbelievable that we are sitting on the 24th January with no plans to start the rebuild early.

This board are synonymous with bad planning and this will be their final blow before the ‘summer overhaul’.

We need to be so effective and efficient in the summer window to have any hope of winning the league next year. It looks like a very difficult task right now.

 

Keep Soro and Turnbull. Everycunt else can get launched into hogganfield loch.

Think big cuthrie at Livingston who's a centre half could do a job for us wins alot in the air not unlike some in our team at present and a danger at set pieces .

All goalkeepers can go... start afresh there and probably take most of the defence with them along with all loaners.

There are players in there that should be ashamed of themselves (and maybe should be offloaded) but we don’t want cut nose off etc...

Rodgers turned a few players around (that support we’re were writing off) and another good manager can decide who really wants to play for Celtic and who can gtfo before anything TOO drastic happens.

 

Looking at it incorrectly..

We have underutilised talent in the squad..

Board and whole footballing structure is where the changes are required.

 

While an overhaul is needed we have to face facts that it will take 3 windows minimum. I'd rather get rid of some now and some later, we need back up and if you get shift of too many at once you end up making panic buys.

 

Personally I think Welsh is ready to be in squad as back up by that I mean sub or appearances due to injury just now he’s not getting that

We don't need 10 or 11 signings, what we need is a manager who knows how to set up a game of football and play to our squads strengths.

Assuming Ajer and Eddie are the big two that leave, we could do with a big investment in 1 CB & ST.

Then go see what we can do on the left with a with new winger with Mikey hopefully pushing on and a LB.

We could do with 4 solid signings to the 11 straight away, the rest if signed any further players could be to help rotation in places like down the right hand side.

Arguably, now saying that, I can see room for 5 straight to 11 signings to cover when Forrest is injured because, yes, we've be garbage but * have we missed him.
