Aye, they're right. A meaningless friendly in Helsinki is of more importance than Champions League qualifiers.

It was booked at the start of the year under a different Management team.

Those are the breaks, the organisers can * off. To be blunt.

Can see their point though, they could have paid us about £200k and all expenses and we sent over the C Team.

If we had beat Legia 2-0 last week, then we'd have sent over a strong team but we couldnt afford to cause we're now under pressure.

Looks as if we are actually blaming Neil Lennon for this. Pathetic.:56:

Whole episode is an embarrassment and not the first time we have been criticised for our attitude to one of these games we've been invited to. Soon the invites will dry up.

This the same mob who organised us to play leverkusen for hyppia and a big homecoming, who then was sacked :56:

Then changed the goal posts and invited spurs, oh * well..

No, it's not more important, but Celtic took the booking (and the money!) with the full knowledge that the trip fell within CL qualifiers!

Ordinary folks would have paid decent money to have gone and seen Celtic play... they were short changed!

Anyone who pays to go and see a friendly and expects to see a good game with good players is a fool really.

Friendlies are pish, only reason people should go are for a swally and good day out. The game it's self is of no importance or shouldnt be.

    Exactly..

This is a year in year out standard procedure across the world..

Players like fryers, kane and mcnaughton are squad players, they played a very good strong side but not there 100% best..

A bit of realism and perspective from the organisers wouldn't go a miss. Yes they are * off but we still sent Finlands number 1 striker over and a couple players, we got a tanking but if we kept it down there would be no talk and outrage..

Agree. Are we really expected to believe that Lenny & Co arrange the friendlies without the knowledge/approval of 'The Administration', who are famous for counting the pennies? I don't think so.
If someone from 'The Administration' was asked we will probably find that this was arranged, with their full agreement and perhaps even the instigation of that Dept, in the full knowledge that it fell on the Saturday between 2 CL Qualifiers.

I thought Celtic was a club that was proud of things like honour and tradiition.

Now you show that we're just like all the rest - only in it for the money, and willing to simply point to paperwork.

How far Celtic FC has fallen.

If the new Rangers isn't the old Rangers club, why do you still call them huns?

Some people are very mixed up.

Celtic FC is managed by a different set of management now is it?

This is news to me. When did Lawwell leave?

As for the organisers * off, do you think this does the image of the club any good?
