Being a super-hero lover I had to get this game. Must admit though, a couple of hours in and I'm not too impressed. Can't even put my finger on what I don't like about it, but nowhere near as fun as the Arkham games so far in my opinion (a few hours in).

Early days yet but I'm hoping it gets better. Anyone else have any thoughts on the game so far?

Thought it would feel like that, tbh.

Think I'll leave it. Never been a fan of Spiderman and if it's like another Arkham then I've been there and done that.

It’s easily the best Spider-Man game. The free roam stuff is a lot better than Arkham because there’s actually civilians out and about everywhere.

It’s probably the best version of Spider-Man/Peter Parker outside the comics for me.

The webswinging is addictive as * :giggle1:

The only thing I liked in Infinity War was the Iron Spider suit and they’ve made it 10x better in this.

Some of the other suits are laughable though...

A lot more fun than Arkham imo it’s open world and ye get to swing about the city, Arkham became tiresome just going from mission map to mission map and having to be stealth all the time

Honestly the worst thing to happen to the Arkham games was the Batmobile.

They became obsessed with it and every mission ended up feeling like a carbon copy of one another by the end.

Aye I chucked the last Arkham game about 3/4 through because it just became Arkham tanks, even the collectibles in this are fun to do

Aye, as good as the Arkham games were (City, in particular) the map was always so boring. Devoid of life.

Totally agree about the Batmobile. They overused it massively.

I think it's brilliant enjoying it much more than the last arkham game. It's definitely been influenced by it but arkham has nothing as enjoyable as just swinging about new york and jumping off massive skyscrapers, also enjoy the fact that spiderman isn't so serious all the time.

The free roam and and stopping crimes is addictive man. Can spend hours just swinging about not even doing a mission.

Good playing as Peter Parker and other characters aswell.

Not a fan of the Arkham games so i didn't like this at first. Played about an hour or two though and it started to get better.

Arkham games annoy me cause the combat is just bashing the square button repeatedly. There is a bit of that in Spiderman but i like the way the change it up a bit with the dodging and the different attacks. Makes the combat a bit more challenging and gives it a sort of Dark Souls vibe.

I normally only play single player games once or twice then go back to playing CSGO but i'll give this another chance and see if it grabs me.

I spoke too soon, starting to get more addicted the more I play. I'm swinging about trying to collect all of the collectables at the minute before I press on with the story.

Think the crimes that pop up in each area are all too similar though. Think there's only either a drug-deal, a break-in, kidnapping, or car chase crimes. They all end up in the same thing regardless, you vs six or seven thugs. Wee bit more variety there would've been great.

Started to try and enjoy the swinging around like an earlier poster said, and quite enjoying that.

The Arkham games were darker though, and I think I preferred that kind of atmosphere.

Just finished the story. Sets up a sequel wonderfully...

Think I’m only about 40% through but I was thinking they’d introduced/mentioned far too many of the villains for a sequel so that’s good to hear.

The more you get into the story the better it becomes.

Don’t think it’s as good as Arkham Knight but it’s 100% far more enjoyable. New York is incredible in it.

Edit: Put this into spoiler even though it’s not, just in case people like surprises.

There’s two after credit scenes that basically confirm a sequel. Too big for DLC!
