Luckily this comet is east to find. Rises just above where the sun sets.

I took this photo a couple of nights ago. First time I've taken a night time photo, thankfully there's plenty of websites with helpful tips on how to photograph the comet at the moment! It's just becoming visible now to the naked eye down here in the south of England, and is easily visible by 11:30pm, so I would think maybe about an hour after that if observing from central Scotland? Watch a few different channels on YouTube in space and astronomy and find it fascinating.

Just spent four days down in Wicklow with the family during the weekend . Went out for a smoke at the back of 12 and gave her a shout because it was clear and there was loads of stars . A flash caught my eye and said to her to look at it too, from the flash the star dot moved to the side dimmed and disappeared. No idea what it was at all. Googled it couldn’t find anything . She never seen the flash but seen it moving and disappearing. Was looking up for a while after to see if it would happen again but didn’t .

That's a great spot! If it continued to move quickly, fade and disappear after the flash, I would think that it was probably a fireball, a small piece of meteoroid rock that burns up as it enters the atmosphere. I saw one once about 10 years ago, a lovely sight.

I know we wanted rid of NL and the board but I think locking them inside a rocket and launching them into space is a wee bit drastic
