That is the way I feel too.Sol would be magnificent for us at centre back. I have been wanting us to sign Campbell for a while now, and it looks like my dream is about to come true. A two year deal looks on the cards because the Gunners have only offered him a one year deal.

 

I do not like the stories of Lenny approach to signings. He seems to think the suns out of the * of anything in England no matter how old or 2nd rate. THe world cup showed up English players for the * they are once you remove all the technique and skill of the foreign players. I cant believe how so many fans get excited as soon as an English league player is rumoured to be on the way. Paying huge money on pensioners and loan players wages is stupidly short term thinking and will damage us.

 

Sol is still solid mate and as others have mentioned, he could bring on Rogne and Thompson.

He was scoring in Porto in the CL not long ago. Lennon wouldn't spend money on him if it wasn't worth it.

 

He's a good CB, something we seem to lack in.
