Added bonus is of course also the pleasure of beholding Jimmy White's "haircut" in the studio in between games.

Ronnie O'Sullivan must be one of the most disrespectful players in his own sport in a very long time.

His entire attitude towards upcoming players, and certain competitions he plays in is disgraceful.

    Absolute *.

"Murphy vented his fury: "I feel extremely hard done by that I have lost to someone who shouldn't even be in the building...This is how I put food on the table".

Hmmm. If the lad is an *, and he's beating you at the UK Championship, perhaps the responsibility lies with Murphy.

Like, we can all lose a frame of snooker to anyone. And Murphy points to the fact that he has more pressure on his shoulders. But he lost over an 11 frame match to this *. 11 frames is enough to decipher if someone has the ability to hold their own.

This * qualified for the Championship due to his ranking position, sure he got a bit of luck due to others dropping out. But Murphy is also quick to remind people that he was the first qualifier to win the World Championship since 1979...

I don't get his rationale about this is how he puts food on the table. Surely the * is in a more perilous financial position than him, it's very unlikely the * is earning more than a professional snooker player. If he beat him over 11 frames also, he clearly deserved it, it's not like it was a fluke over 3 frames.

Him and Stephen Maguire don't like eachother. Murphy got the ref to dock him a frame when he went to the toilet before a frame one time. So Maguire thinks. Murphy says he was just chatting to the ref about something else.

Heard him on the bbc again this morning saying "There is something fundamentally wrong with professionals competing against amateurs".

If we were to apply this same logic to football, we'd have to do away with the Scottish Cup. Professional footballers at Celtic, compete against pretty much any clubs in the 3rd or 4th tier.

    It's a nonsense, elitist statement.

Sure, Murphy has to put food on the table, and sure he might get knocked out once in a blue moon by an * who performed out of their skin. Just like Celtic and Clyde a few years back. But if you are the professional, you should be able to consistently perform over a 12 month season to earn your corn, otherwise there comes a point where you perhaps dont have a right to be a professional in that sport. Its a meritocracy.

Spot on Cool Bhoy just look at Golf.In the Open Championship for example they have the famous Leading * Medal and in Darts take the UK Open, funny enough open to plenty of Amateurs to try and qualify through their local Pub,just more examples out there.
Nothing wrong with rank outsiders in any sport being given a chance if they work hard at the Sport they love:50:
