I can see where you are coming from m8 but this is a chance for big Ange to win his first trophy with us and will hopefully spur us on to win the league. It was also give those players in our team who maybe haven't won anything in their careers the experience of winning a trophy and, most importantly, we are Celtic and we should be trying to win every competition we are in and nothing beats celebrating winning a trophy

There is no chance Ange doesn’t play the best team possible. He wants to win everything!

Hopefully we have a fit striker, the rest should be fine.

I’d love it if we did tbh, but there’s no chance ange will do that. He’s come here to win trophies and this will hopefully be the first of many.

Yeah * that as a suggestion. We have 4 games to worry about before the Huns and we will win them, one game at a time. We will deal with whatever adversity is put in front of us, because that’s the Ange way. We don’t make excuses.

Whilst I agree with the OP in sentiment at least, I dont think its going to happen.

You cant underestimate the importance of what this cup will do for confidence going forward, and what it will mean in terms of letting opposition sides know that we're effectively "back".

A defeat would see the media pile on with a "bottler" narrative, and opposition sides would see it as a signal that we aren't where we should be in terms of competing.

Ideally though, i dont think certain players should start, especially in areas we are light.

I wouldn't be risking players that aren't 100% recovered from injury.

It is definitely the least regarded of the cups but we absolutely should be going all out to try and win it.

Psychologically, especially for some of the guys that have never won a cup before....winning this and a good transfer window could be a massive boost and potential catalyst to our season!

Hibs are in disarray just now but I wouldn't be going out and playing a makeshift team of kids and backup players unless absolutely necessary. They put us under the cosh a bit at Easter Road and they will be right up for probably the only opportunity of silverware they will get this season.

Either way I don't envy Ange. He'll get it really bad if he loses, and get it bad if he wins but picks up injuries. The perils of squad depth.

We should do some rotation, such as playing Rogić instead of Turnbull. Maybe Bolingoli instead of Montgomery.

    * ridiculous stuff. The momentum, the confidence and togetherness that winning a trophy will give to this new team would be immense.

The heart ache, the doubt, the pressure that will be put on this squad if we were to lose a cup final by playing kids in a final is not worth it.

A ridiculous question without any merit. Have a wonder into lennoxtown and post this question to Ange and the players.

There'll be 14 * trying to stop us winning on Sunday. Don't need to give them any help

We're supposed to be on our arses... We're supposed to be cracking... Just like last night, winning the cup will be a double victory for us - that we win in the face of adversity, and that opposition; including the Huns, see that we don't lose. Injuries are always a risk, they happen, but you don't wrap everyone with talent in cotton wool because of it... This isn't Betis in a dead rubber, it's a cup final... Let's go out and win it and keep all momentum going towards the New Year

No_One extra game in a busy schedule isn’t going to make much difference plus we should’ve played a B team from the start.

It's a bit of a weird one, as I'm nowhere near as nervous for this as I am for our league games.

Doesn't mean I don't care about it or losing won't affect me, but I feel oddly calm, shows how important the league is this year.
